Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice please.
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about a year now without success. I have endometriosis which doesn't help matters. I have been to my GP in the last month to look into fertility testing etc. and they have done blood tests which I am waiting on the results of. I haven't been feeling myself this weekend (tired, irritable, sore breasts and my areola have become very bumpy) so I decided to take a pregnancy test. It's difficult to tell when my period is due because of the endometriosis but I think I'm due in approximately 5 days. I used a Tesco digital test mid afternoon and it came back 'pregnant'. We were both really excited but wanted to be sure so I took another test (Clearblue digital) about an hour later, which came back negative. I was a little bit heartbroken so decided to take a first response test first thing this morning which has also come back negative. I'm just really confused now and the earliest I can get an appointment to see my GP is 4 days from now. I would really appreciate and advice you can give. Thanks!

Hi hun, I had an op last month for what they thought was appendicitis, as it happened I had a ruptured cyst instead which they removed, along with some endometriosis I didnt even know I had!
The positive pregnancy test is a good sign as they're rarely wrong, and different brands have different sensitivities. Also with you testing so early your hormone levels will still be very low if you are pg, and they can fluctuate from day to day very early on so it may be that your hcg was high enough on the day you got your bfp to be detected, and maybe just below the right level when you tested neg. The only advice I could give is to wait a couple more days and test again or ask your gp for a blood test when you get an appy. Good luck! xx

Oh and cbd tests arent very sensitive anyway so I've heard! Not likely to get a bfp 5 days before af with one of those so dont worry too much xx

No cbds should only be used after an af is missed in my opinion! I was getting positives on all brands but negatives on cbds. The only digis I'd use early are superdrug as they have a stick that clips in to the actual unit and the stick has window for 2 lines on the end that I guess the digi unit uses to give the result. Even that said negative but when I pulled the stick out there were 2 lines so I knew I was preg. Good luck x
