Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

So I'm getting a little ahead of myself but want to be ready (only 2 months to go now before TTC!). Anyway reading some of threads over the last few days has inspired/reminded me to start thinking about stocking up. Last time I used preseed & will buy it again this time but I can't really remember much about OPK's. I'm only gonna buy the cheapie ones. Please can someone remind me when in the cycle you start using them & how many I might buy to start with. I realise this is a bit of a how long is a piece of string question but if I have a rough idea of how many I might use per cycle I can figure out how many to start with. I was thinking getting 30 OPK's & a pack of 5 cheapie pregnancy tests.
Thank you (roll on the summer holidays )

I haven't started using them again yet, I'm borrowing a CBFM monitor for next cycle onwards. I used to use them from CD10 I think and used 4 or 5 per cycle max. I'm pretty regular so would get peaks around CD14. I have previously bought one of those cheap packs of 20/30 on amazon as they're only a few £.
Be so much fun if we were tri buddies again!!!!

I have long cycles and probably end up using about 10-14 per cycle. I started at CD10 last cycle and ov at CD23!!! This cycle I'm not starting until about CD18 so hope to use less than 10.
I'd say average about half a dozen per cycle. Do you usually test only once a day? Some people like to test late morning and afternoon.

Last time I only used to test once a day (I can't remember what time, possibly evening) but I was working full time last time so hoping that with extra time on my hands I'll still only test once a day. I remember being fairly regular but I think I now remember testing from around cd7-9. I suppose once you've used them for a few cycles you have more of an idea of what's going on. Think I'll get 30 for now & then I can always get more if needed. I just want to get started now!!!
& AR - it's so exciting to be doing this together again!

Go for it now BK, what's 2 months difference really

AR...! 2 months difference could mean us all have having birthdays in the same month! Don't tempt me!!!

30 should be a good start. This website gives a chart of the length of your cycle and when you should start testing if this helps at all??
