Trying to conceive

...about TTC. We originally planned to start seeing what happened from today basically, but we've changed our plans slightly as we've finally got a house and are wanting a bit time just the 3 of us for a little while and are going to hold off trying for a few more months, whilst letting my system settle back down.
So my questions:
Has anyone had a baby, then gone back on the pill for a few months and come off it again, and if so, how did you find your cycles were when you came off it again? Longer, shorter, no change??
Also, dim question, but today is the first day of what is essentially a withdrawal bleed. Would i count this as CD1?

I went back on the pill when No1 was about 3 months. Was on it for about 7 months then I started forgetting to take a couple here and there, so just decided to come off it given that we wanted to start trying within a few months anyway. We don't exactly DTD all that often, so using the withdrawal method or just (ahem) "finishing off" in other ways didn't seem like too much hassle.
I've only had one full cycle since coming off, but that was about normal for me (I've always had short-ish cycles, between 26 and 28 days and the first one was 26 days).
I would count your first day of a withdrawal bleed as CD1.

No and yes!
Good luck! x

Thanks ladies. I've usually had 28 day cycles, so i'll start counting from the 1st (that makes CD counting rather easy to start me back off!) and see how i go from there. H is very strict with being careful, so i can't imagine any accidents happening. The one time we weren't, was the month before we decided we were going to start trying anyway!
