    Morning ladies,

On 'The Sex Education Show' last night they said (in so many words) that if a man is having alot of sex, he will need to take zinc supplements.....

Is this true - has anyone heard this before.....??

(hubby is worried that he might need supplements hahaha)

I have heard that men trying to concieve should take zinc supplements as it helps to keep the sperm supply healthy. Im thinking of getting my OH on them once weve been trying for a couple of months xxx

    Hi,
yes I've heard thats true, My mate had had four miscarage's and they were trying like anything..........with no result. In the end the docs told them that her Hubby's sperm was pretty weak and he needed a few suppliments to get the sperm perky and raring to go!!!!!! Zinc was one, vitamin c and I forgot the other( Mates on hols but when she gets back i will ask and let you know).

Little Toad - Ha ha men get so worried dont they!!

I found this just now - an artical on GMTV:

    4. Take vitamins
Studies show that supplementing with vitamin C can assist in the making of properly functioning sperm, and reduce their tendency to clump together (agglutinate). 1,000mg of vitamin C each day should be enough to help men make top seed.

High doses of zinc appear to help boost levels of testosterone in men with low levels of this hormone, and may bring substantial improvements in sperm numbers. A zinc supplement of 50-100mg should be taken each day (balanced with 3-6mg of copper per day to prevent copper deficiency) for three months.

Like zinc, Korean ginseng appears to have the ability to enhance both testosterone and sperm levels. About 500mg of standardised extract should be taken each day for three months.

I've had my husband on Wellman supplements since I've been taking my pro-natal ones. They aren't cheap but have everything the boys need for healthy little swimmers, I think L-Arginine is crucial for top sperm too.
