Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

So last week after my very very sore boobs I caved in and tested (IC) Friday 6 days before AF is due. It was positive but only just. So Saturday I took a CBD and it as positive 1-2 weeks. Then I tested again on Sunday and the line was much darked using another IC. So I guess I am pregnant! But the sore boobs have gone they are a little more sensitive than normal but not much. I have had a few very mild cramps and lots of popping/bubbling feelings. Also last night (TMI) I had a tiny tiny amount of brown spotting like very old blood but only when I wiped. I just can't get my head round it. I don't feel pregnant and I feel like if i get too excited it will all be over soon. Someone give me a slap please!

Congratulations Rosco! I was thinking about you earlier and that you would be testing this week. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about the bleeding with it being brown. Wishing you a smooth and healthy 8/9 months ahead! xx

Congratulations on your BFP. Try not to worry too much about symptoms at this stage. Cramping is a normal part of pregnancy, and the old blood will implantation bleeding. Your symptoms will also change as time goes on too. I didn't have anything other than a bloated feeling when i got my BFP the first time. If it's something you're going to struggle to accept, then i suggest you buy some cheap IC's to use and test every other day if necessary. Do what you need to do to help you believe that you're going to be a mummy! :-)

I did buy some more tests on my way to work to try and help it sink in. I'll give the Dr a call in a few days too maybe that will help it feel real. Also I really realy should proof read I meant popping feelings! Stupid typos!

Dont be upset if your GP isnt interested mine wasnt you had to go straight to the midwives at 7 -8 weeks. But everywhere is different :)

If you know the number for your midwife unit, i'd give them a call directly and arrange an appointment. My doctor was really nice and put a referral through for me as it was my first, but i've since found out that i could have gone straight to the midwife myself.

Ah ha thanks guys. It's my first so I have no idea what the procedure is. I'll give the surgery a call and ask the receptionist what to do for best. It's a village surgery so the midwifery bit may be elsewhere. I'm expecting the Dr to take much notice TBH he's probably seen hundreds of pregnant women!

Congratulations. Early pregnancy symptoms can come and go and that's totally normal.
