Is is that a positive opk? ... I'm 13dpo... 13 days ago with my last opk I was 18dpo. I'm forever stuck in the 2ww never actually ovulating.
i feel it's acceptable for me to cry now. I really thought everything felt different this time.

I feel bad about my post now. I just got a bfp (or at least I think I did). I have been off the pill 7 months, each cycle wildly different to the next. I think this is the first month I've ever actually ovulated though. Thanks for your post, its amazing to know that there's literally always someone here if you need them

Yay congratulations!!! That's much darker than my first BFP so here's wishing you a happy, healthy pregnancy xx

Pregnancy hormone can definitely give you a positive OPK (but the ovulating hormone can't give you a positive pregnancy test!). Great news!

Thanks girls. I took another test this morning as i didnt quite believe it but still positive. :) This is the hardest secret to keep

Wishful - do you know when you ovulated from OPKs alone or temping too? Sorry I can't remember which you were doing - I think you were away then joined us again afterwards? Just wondering if you know how far along you are - unless you have been having AF alongside not ovulating the past few months? Bet you are on cloud 9 :)

Horrible isn't it, having to keep it secret? The stress of that and general "oh feck" of finding out was why I inadvertently offended a few people the other day. Have you told your husband? I did 3 IC tests, and OH wasn't convinced because the line was paler than the control line, despite me saying it didn't matter, so I sent him out to spend a fortune on the CB digital that literally spells it out for him!!

morning Pepperoni - My thermometer broke on CD11 so i got a positive opk that weekend on CD13 & 14, then to resist testing with a pregnancy test i took another opk during my 2ww (CD30 i think) which came out stronger than my first opk. I also had stabbing pains that night (was a wednesday). We DTD the following day (thursday 12th sept) and that was it really. I was sick at the time so hoped the tummy pain had been ovulation but wasnt sure it wasnt just still my bug. I forced H to DTD with me as i thought i had ovulated. It was the only time in that window we DTD because i had been ill so although i prayed i really thought it wouldnt be my month.
Only thing i had done different during that cycle was taking pregnacare conception.A lot of people reported tummy upset with it after a month and when i was ill i partly thought it could be down to them so stopped taking it after a week of feeling and being sick and i felt completely back to normal within 24 hours. I dont know if they helped me or not but i thought it was worth sharing. They were in Tesco on 3 for 2 so I still have tonnes of them. If you private message me your address i can post the box i've got left and you can give it a try?
Barefoot - I'm excited. I'm scared it'll be a chem pregnancy or that something might happen, as i know thats common in first pregnancys, but i really am excited. H works nights so i called him and said "can you talk?" and then he lost signal, called again and said "can you talk?" and he said "depends, what do you have to tell me?" and then he lost signal so then when i got hold of him for the third time i said "I'm pregnant" and he said "I'm gonna hang up now and text you" and text saying "I'm in a van filled with lads so cant react. Wish you'd told me when i was with you" followed by "very happy, i'm waking you when i get in". So he woke me up at 5.30am and we chatted for about an hour. He's more excited than me, but hes always lived in a dream world where everything is sunshine and rainbows. I'm exhausted today. Yesterday his ex wife also allowed us an additional nights visitation with my step daughter - So we now offically have 7 nights each, which is amazing. Yesterday will go down in history as a good day for our family.
