Well it didn't look like we'd get much chance to BD around OV this month anyway as we'll be at the in-laws / apart for a couple of days over Xmas. So I suggested to OH that we take the opportunity to go on one last diving hol in early Feb and we'll think about TTCing again after that. And as soon as I thought it I just felt a huge sense of relief and that has made me question if I'm really ready for a baby yet (shock revelation!!). As did getting AF on Sunday and not really being bothered (everyone else on here seems gutted when they get theirs).
Seeing hubby with my cousin's LO at the weekend I realised that he takes to it all like a duck to water but I don't (though don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it!) and I guess I just want OH to myself for a little longer as well. Luckily he's a patient guy so I know he won't start to put the pressure on (for a while yet anyway). I've been off sick for a couple of days and I've had a lot of time to go over things. I think I was treating TTCing as my next project (after getting married, buying a house and various other things) and it can't be done like that. It was a case of wanting to get pregnant as it is a convenient time, hubby is ready (he's 36), my in-laws want it and some of my friends are doing it. And it would be an exciting new experience of course. But I realise now that they're not good reasons to be so gung-ho about the whole thing.
I really do want kids and I don't want to leave it too late but I'm only 30 and I think it's far healthier if I abandon all the charting etc and just see what happens. Of course, I might get that all-conquering desire to hold a baby in my arms tomorrow and then the CBFM will come back out but until then, adios mes amigas. I may pop in from time to time to see how you are getting on and I'm glad I timed it so I witnessed the momentous occasion that is K-Lou's BFP!!! You're a great bunch of girls and you've really started to feel like friends so I wish you all the luck in the world and if Mother Nature does bestow a BFP upon us then I will be sure to come on here and let you know (if you aren't all in the pregnancy forums by then of course!!).

I shall miss you dearly, you're always full of great advice and funny comments.

I understand exactly why you're having some time off; think it's a good idea for you, so enjoy having hubby to yourself for a bit and the diving holiday!

I'm also thinking of backing off for a wee while; at least until I get results of next smear in March. Coming on here is teaching me so much and I love the chats with you girlies, but it's starting to make me obsessive and we're not even ttc yet! I'll also pop online occasionally to see how everyone's getting on.

So, perhaps I'll see you back here around the same time Scubachick, unless you get your BFP beforehand! Have a great Christmas and New Year!

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ooh poo. I have just come on here for the first time since this morning and read that 2 of your lovelies are leaving us for a while.

Feel like everyone is leaving me.

But having said that, it really is best that you have come to the realisation that you are not ready before you fall as it could cause loads of stress.

Have a fantastic scuba trip and happy holidays.
