Trying to conceive

Ok, so it looks like I might have to cave next cycle & temp. So if I were to start temping what thermometer do I need & what's the best place/brand to get?

You need a BBT (basal body thermometer) which will give you readings of 36.25 instead of 36.2 etc
I brought mine from www.sme-fertility.co.uk or just try amazon but I found that the postage was more than the actualy thermometer :)
Good luck :)

Thanks CC, that's much cheaper than I thought it would be. Mmm maybe I might be able to convince myself to get 1 if I haven't conceived this month

Yeah it's pretty cheap and works perfectly for me.. Used it July/Aug then put it away and got it back out recently and still works perfectly fine!
Good luck if you decide to use temp.. I find it really beneficial to actually physically see.

Thanks, fairly sure that I'm gonna switch to temping if not successful this cycle

I am actually quite enjoying it! It's cool seeing it all down in front of you.
Setting the 6.10am alarm on weekends is rubbish but I soon fall back to sleep.

Blackkat, I have a spare temping thermometer that I bought for the second time around- since J was getting me up throughout the night I couldn't get consistent times, plus I was v lucky and conceived quickly, so it's been used all of about 4 times. If you'd like it you'd be welcome to it?

I bought a Baby Mad one from Amazon too for £5. As others said, needs to be to 2 decimal places for accurate readings. Best of luck.
