Hi girls , I have been charting for the last month and a half, had two positive opks tues and wednesday, took temp at 3am today , was 35.02 - MUCH lower than usual ,took it again at 6.30  (usually take it at 7 am) and was 36.13 , was wondering if the much lower 1 could have been a fluke - thermometer was new a week ago though, or could it have been that I did indeed ovulate and temp dropped that much and went up again by this morning ? have charted the latter temp on my chart , but should I have put in the earlier one ... I'm confused , thanks for any help x

Hey hun, I sometimes found that temps taken before or after my usual temping time were greatly different. I think it must be to do with the cycles of sleep. It is really hard to take the temps same time everyday and have 3 hrs sleep. But after a few cycles I could see a pattern regardless. Fingers crossed you can see the same soon if you don't get your bfp before!!

Glad the keeping and comparing opk's has helped. I found it much easier to be certain.

Still checking your bbt and have everything crossed! There are some lovely ladies as per usual on the main thread! Xx

I read somewhere that temps are much lower in the middle of the night and rise more quickly as the end of sleep comes around or when you're awake. It rises approx 0.1 of a degree for each half hour, but quicker when you wake. Yesterday mine was down to 96.8; took it an hour later after staying awake, up to 97.1!

If you woke at 3am, your body could be totally stunned and still be in its sleep mode, hence why so low. Your later one sounds ok though, Not too high or low. If going by the expected rise, three and a half hours later would set your temp to be around 35.7, plus the fact you were awake not long ago. 36.1 sounds about right to me xx (mine was the same as yours this morning, up 0.7 from yesterday!).

Haha, holiday is going well, other than the dog-on-head thing, thank you! I'm just shattered, running around after my little nephews They're adorable though, so it's ok. Just put a new story on the testing-testing forum about them! xxx

The first 12 was really dragged waiting to find out everything was OK. But the weeks are going much quicker. The scan was the most magical surreal moment and I cried throughout lol. We are still very 50/50 about finding out. Half really wants to know and half wants the surprise. But not too much longer to make the decision.

Yes I have just been reading and posted a link to my cycle that month.

I really hope it is your month! What symptoms have you had. My most noticeable really early one was feeling tired walking up the stairs carrying washing.xx
