Firstly congratulations on your bfp. You are bound to be nervous and anxious as is your husband especially after last time and I'm sure this is why you got this reaction. Yes you can fly at 18-19 weeks and I really think you should go, especially as it is paid for, it might be the last trip you and your husband have away alone for a while.
Fingers crossed for a healthy 9 months for you x

Thank you MrsL.
It still doesn't feel real at the moment. I agree about the holiday and will speak to my husband tonight.

Hi Fudge, congratulations. I think we had mcs at about the same time so great you've got your bfp now as well. In answer to your questions, yes you can fly. I'm braving an 11hr flight to the Maldives at 20 weeks so you'll be fine. As for the nerves, I can totally sympathise. I was exactly the same, and was so insistent on knowing if it was likely to be a viable pregnancy that I had bhcg bloods done privately a couple of days after my bfp, then again 72 hrs later to measure progression. Maybe this is an option for you? Finally, my husband was like yours. I got a faint bfp and wondered whether to sy anything, and in the end just went in when he was in the bath and said "errm I might be pregnant again". He didn't get excited, just nervous like me, and in fact it's only been the last 2 weeks he's even been willing to talk about the prospect of having a child. I know it's just his way of dealing with the hurt from last time, and not wanting to get hurt again.
Anyway, once again many congratulations xx

Congratulations on your bfp :) it's likely that your H is feeling nervous and anxious the same as you after your mc, he will get excited in time I'm sure :) definitely go on the holiday as well! That time of your pregnancy is usually the best as the worst of the morning sickness has (hopefully) passed but you aren't so huge that you'll feel uncomfortable flying. Wishing you a very smooth pregnancy x

Thanks Barefoot and Popcorn. Congrats Barefoot on your BFP too.
Just have to see what happens now. Feeling nauseous and extremely tired so hopefully good signs that things are progressing (I didn't have them much before I miscarried). I might look into having a viability scan/bloods. it might put my mind at ease a bit.

Fudge, firstly congratulations. Lots of sticky vibes being sent your way. I would definitely go away - it'll be a good excuse to have some time just you and your H before your family grows. Like others have said I'm sure your H is just feeling the same as you in being anxious about it and just wanting everything will be alright.

Congratulations. I'm not sure but if your bleeding isn't heavy with strong cramps then you should be ok. Some bleeding and cramps are normal in pregnancy.
We have a holiday booked when I'm 27-28 weeks so hopefully it will be ok!!!!

Thanks all. Had talk with the husband last night and all is okay. He's just nervous like me about getting excited. We've decided we're going on holiday, what will be will be. There is nothing we can do but hope it all turns out okay this time. The spotting stopped last night. Thanks so much for your congratulations and advice.
