    Hi everyone

I am feeling so confused about when to test. Please help me I don't want to test to early and face disapointment!!!

Started with first af at the beginning of February following mmc. It was much lighter than normal and lasted about 5 days, eventually disapearing to nothing. I started counting this as day one.

The day after bleeding had stopped I started again with more bleeding but much heavier, this lasted another 5 days.

So now I'm confused, which do I count as day one? The first light bleeding or the second much heavier?

I am now working on 2 sets of dates! The first lot put me on cd38 and the second on cd33. My cycles before mmc were between 32 and 34 days.

Again I'm not sure how long my last cycle was as it depends on which day of bleeding this month I count as day one, but it could have been at the longest 39 days.

I really need some advice, Like I said I don't think I can face a bfn following my mmc in December. I don't want to get it wrong and test too early.

In anticipation, thanks girls I know you'll be able to calm me down. xxx

    hi shrewpin,
Sorry to hear about mmc. I guess the best thing to do is to use the later dates then you know you won't be testing early. I know this will be easier said than done as its an extra 5 days to wait but it will avoid any unneccessary stress and disappointment.
Hope this helps and good luck

Thanks Slow, I know deep down that, thats the right thing to do it's slow bloody hard tho.

To be honest I never really had this problem prior to mc. I always knew whan af was going to arrive as I had a few days of brown blood before it actually came. I used to hate that before but now I wished it would happen as the decision to POAS would be taken out of my hands, I think in previous months of ttc I tested once due to the brown blood thingy and that was when I got my bfp. Thanks again. xxx

Yeah, when this happened with me I always counted day one as the first full day of red blood. I searched the internet for ages for this information but generally this is what I found.

All this counting days lark is driving me mad. Don't know if I'm coming or going!! Decided to go back to using my trusty friend the clear blue fertility monitor nxt month. It really takes the stress away . But looks like i'll just have to keep on counting for now.

Hey shrewpin, have you thought about just NOT testing and therefore not thinking about what day of your cycle you're on for say another month?

I know this sounds totally ridiculous but I've decided that I'm going to drive myself mental thinking about it & wishing my life away so going to give this tactic a go next month I think (my cycles are up the creek too).

You'll probably just read this and go, er, NO! But just thought I'd share in case you decide it could be the way to go.

Thanks PinkToothbrush, that is a good idea and i'll definitely consider it next month.
Was so close to testing this morning but oh persuaded me not to. Think I will tomorrow though as long as af has not arrived by then. The thought of it is making me feel sick! xxx

    Hi Clarins

Just read your post. Only symptoms are ones that could either be af or bfp. Period type pains on and off for last 10 days ish. Nipples were also a bit sore and tingley but that seems to have disapeared now. Felt sickly just last night, but that could have been down the huge portion of fish and chips I had for my tea! lol. Hope you get a better result when you test on Monday love. Will be looking out for your post. xxx
