Morning ladies, how are you all feeling today?
Hope nobody minds me starting the thread. I'm really nervous and on edge today. 6 days post transfer today, and that's where it all started to go wrong last time. I know that just because it happened before doesn't mean it's going to happen again, especially on the same day, but I just can't shake the feeling off. Help?!?!
Lottie - I have tons of recs for NY, would you rather I post them on here or maybe email them to you so you've got easy access to it? I'm happy to do either :)

I'm not surprised you're nervous today lovely - we're all here for all the hand holding you require. How're you feeling in your self? I'm sure your embies have snuggled in nicely and are getting super comfy now. x
*Lottie* - thanks for the offers of the IC opks, that's very kind - I'm like you though and got a bit lost with them so gave up and went for the CB digis. I'm sending you sticky vibes for your little bean too.
AFM - not much really! Work is heading in to a quieter period so I'm actually starting to get a bit bored. It's food shopping day today and I always enjoy a food shop!
Hi to all who follow. x

ST - It's perfectly natural, today is a huge milestone for you this journey is full of them but getting past the point you didn't last time is huge. I found it hard getting past the point I miscarried and I actually had spotting that day, I was a mess and convinced myself it was happening all over again. Tomorrow you will be very much relieved and you'll be able to relax. I know exactly how you're feeling but you can do this :-)
Sally - Can't you do some online xmas shopping to keep you busy ;)
AFM - Nothing to report except for the same old and I am so tired, I really struggle to get up on a morning and I am so looking forward to this weekend so I can have a lie in. Scan is a week tomorrow!
Hi to all who follow.

ST - so many vibes from me today xx
Sally - Claire's idea is a good one get started on some xmas shopping lol!
Claire - Only one more get up now!
AFM - Did an opk this morning and it should have been positive if I'm going to ov on time but it was negative, if I ov late my af will be late and I'll have to change my hycosy appointment again :-( trying not to stress over it though I know things could be worse and hopefully the clinic will still fit me in. The thought of Paris is keeping me going now, thanks ST for all the tips yesterday :-)
Hi to all who follow!

ST - I'm not surprised you're worried, perfectly natural given everything you've been through. I hope your beans are snuggling in nice and cosy and you'll get a nice BFP on Monday x
Sally - How's the sleeping going these days? Just wondering if work calming down a bit might help. Enjoy the food shopping!
Claire - Hope the tiredness is a really sign but roll on the weekend for you. Have you any plans or will just relax and take things easy?
AFM - It's curry lunch day, yayy! Hope it all goes ok and doesn't cause too much stress! H managed to get to Ikea yesterday on the way back from a meeting so last night was spent wrestling with a locker - I'm so useless with instructions - this furniture is for the room mum will be staying in so have to get it done by Tuesday. In TTC news, CB digi OPK went straight from low yesterday to peak today so gonna try get DTD in tonight, tomorrow & the day after and hopefully that's us covered this month. I was worried we'd be trying to DTD when my mum was here!

Thanks ladies, your support means ever such a lot.
Sally - Another vote for online xmas shopping! Hope you can stave off the boredom. I've got loads to do today but I just can't keep focussed at all - luckily I've got next week before the deadline to have it done but there's no predicting how I'm going to feel next week either. It all rests on Monday!
Claire - I so so so hope you're right. Although I'm not too sure I'll be able to relax tomorrow, we're at a wedding and I'm not overly looking forward to it! Hope the next week flies by for you.
Lulu - Any chance you can do another opk later on? Hope ov isn't delayed, I know how frustrating that can be! I might have to make your trip to Paris my pet project to get me through today if that's alright with you - I'm more likely to be distracted from my thoughts by that than by work! What days of the week are you going to be there? Are you into museums or just the touristy landmark type things?
Tayto - My mum seemed to have a 6th sense about our DTD requirements and always came to stay with us around ov, which was a nightmare! Glad you don't have to contend with that! Enjoy your curry lunch, it sounds so much more appealing than mine!
16/10/2014 at 10:22
Tayto - Enjoy your curry lunch!
ST - That is fine with me anything I can do to help lol! We will be getting there Friday afternoon around 4ish and leaving Monday after lunch. Main things we are interested in are the touristy things and maybe some xmas shopping as well :-)
16/10/2014 at 10:38
Haha excellent suggestion all - I've already done some research and have a specific xmas pressie folder - but I'd left it alone for a few weeks.
Claire - hoping the tiredness is a symptom!
Lulu - sorry you had a neg this morning, hopefully it's not delayed so you don't have to reschedule.
Tayto - enjoy curry lunch! Sounds delicious - glad you've peaked at the right time to avoid having to DTD when your mum is around!
ST - planning lulu's paris trip sounds like a fab idea to distract you!

Right Lulu, here's a starter for ten...
A quick list of some of the things we did (I left off wandering around sports grounds, museums, and things that take up too much time as you've only got a few days!):
Eiffel Tower, Montparnasse Tower, Palais de Chaillot and Trocadero, Arc de Triomphe, Sacre-Coeur, Notre Dame, Champs-Elysees, Ile de la Cite, Ile Saint Louis, Jardin des Tuileries, Ile aux Cygnes (Statue of Liberty), Hotel de Ville, Grand Palais, Petit Palais, Pantheon, Place de la Concorde.
If you're into chocolate, we discovered a chocolaterie called Maison Georges Larnicol which honestly smells like heaven, and they have all kinds of things made from chocolate. Most impressive was a huge model of Notre Dame. The first store we found was near Sacre-Coeur, but there are a few dotted around. Their chocolates, macarons and caramels are divine!
Getting around on the metro is really easy, but I would advise against getting a travel pass and instead get a carnet of tickets (10 single tickets) which is cheaper than buying them individually and you can also use them on the bus. I don't think the travel passes are good value for money at all, you'd have to make a lot of journeys each day to justify the cost.
Another tip that we discovered the hard way - the metro ticket machines at Gare du Nord only accept coins, not notes. This seems beyond stupid to me, but at least last time we were prepared and had enough to cover what we needed for our immediate journey in coins! Other stations do accept notes though, and there are plenty of them around. If you do need to pay with notes at Gare du Nord they have staffed ticket offices but the queues can be horrendous.
Anything else I can help with? :)

Thanks ST that is fantastic! I'm not on google maps trying to work out an itinerary so we don't miss anything. Did you do a boat trip on the river? I quite like the idea of it but don't want to waste time if it isn't worth it.
16/10/2014 at 12:02
We've never done a boat trip on any river anywhere Lulu, it's just not something that particularly appeals to either of us but I couldn't tell you why! I know other people who have done it though and loved it. I suppose it is a good way of seeing a lot of Paris' famous buildings in one go and from a different perspective.
One thing I really like about Paris is that it's really easy to work out a route from A to B to C etc, for example if you start off at the Arc de Triomphe you can walk down the Champs-Elysees, past the palaces, then you hit Place de la Concorde, then the Jardins des Tuileries, and at the end of there you're at the Louvre which is a magnificent building to look at, even if you don't want to go inside.
16/10/2014 at 12:41
LuLu I love how you've bagged yourself your very own personal holiday planner :-) ST I will save all of this information for when we decide to go!
16/10/2014 at 12:49
Haha I'd be happy to offer my services to anyone, completely free of charge - travel planning is definitely my thing and I research probably far more than is healthy. What can I say, I like to be prepared!
16/10/2014 at 12:59
I'll be saving it to ST - it looks fab! (Especially the chocolaterie suggestion!)
16/10/2014 at 13:46
Plenty more where that came from ladies, I can tell you the quickest way to get into the Louvre, the best day to visit the Musee d'Orsay, I've got two previous Disneyland trips up my sleeve, and if you've seen the film Midnight in Paris I can tell you where the steps are that Owen Wilson is on when the car comes and picks him up. I really do go a bit overboard with this kind of thing haha!
Can somebody come and give me a good shake please? I keep veering from feeling really hungry to a little bit sick, and I had a very sudden abdominal pain a few minutes ago, and I'm sure it's probably all psychological and I'm driving myself crazy with it.
16/10/2014 at 13:58
I know Claire lucky me, this ttc board is great for all sorts of info lol!
OMG ST I LOVE Midnight in Paris!! Yes please tell me where the steps are :-)
ST I can't imagine how hard it is not to drive yourself crazy, you've been doing so well Monday is just around the corner now for you and we've all got everything crossed for you xx
16/10/2014 at 14:49
Copy and paste this number into google maps Lulu - 48.846785,2.347705 - it should give you a result on Place du Pantheon. I unknowingly took a picture of the church the steps are part of as we walked past, and it wasn't until later that I discovered that these are the very steps in the movie! I was a bit gutted to say the least haha! If I'd known I would have paid them a proper visit!! Thanks lovely, it's hit me today how close we are to having a result and it's terrifying!
16/10/2014 at 15:58
Eeeeek thank you I'll have to go there!
I hope I've managed to distract you a bit today I can't imagine how hard these last few days have been for you x
16/10/2014 at 16:50
You have Lulu, thanks! Just got to get through the evening now, but I'll be plenty busy getting ready to travel to the wedding tomorrow and we're staying overnight so need to pack a few bits.
Hope you all have lovely weekends xx
16/10/2014 at 16:52
Lulu - missed your post earlier - how frustrating! Hope it goes positive soon for you x
ST - So now we know who to come to for travel advice! :-)
