Trying to conceive

Hello ladies - where is everyone?
I really hope you don't mind me still hanging around, I daren't venture over to BT just yet, I did last time and had a miscarriage 4 days later :( so if it's ok I'll hang around here for a little while longer but I won't go on too much I promise I know too well how hard this all is.
I had a bit of a scare yesterday, started light spotting and convinced myself it was game over - it settled in the end, and I tested this morning still positive but I can't relax just yet.
Anyway in other news, going to visit my parents this weekend, so got a lovely 4 hour car journey to endure just hoping the traffic is kind to us.
Did anyone see GBBO? I won't say to much in-case I spoil it for those who haven't.
Tayto - what happened with Birthday gate in the end?
LovelyGirl - How are you feeling?
Hello to all who follow.
Anyone know when LuLu is back? xx

Had a busy day at work yesterday so only briefly popped on, and saw your news. So happy for you - I can imagine it was pretty scary yesterday though after your history. I'm sure I speak for us all when I saw we don't mind you hanging around.
I haven't seen GBBO yet, but someone at work accidentally spoilered it for me! Oh well!
AFM - just plodding along in the TWW here. Looking forward to the weekend for a bit of a rest, I've not been sleeping well the last few nights.
Hi to all who follow. xx

Hi ladies, do you mind if I join in? Claire mentioned these threads to me a while ago on the DTC thread but I've been burying my head in the sand. However, s**t is about to get real so I need to un-bury my head!
I'm so glad things are still looking good for you Claire, long may it continue. I hope you have a lovely weekend with your family. When are you driving up?
SallyLou - not sleeping is the worst! I hope you get plenty of rest in over the weekend.
Hi to everyone who follows, I look forward to getting to know those of you I don't know now that I'm venturing out from behind the DTC walls xx

SallyLou - Thank you very much, BT seems like a huge way off and I am in no way ready. Still watch it anyway, I just love seeing what they do the thing is it always makes you hungry no matter if you've eaten moments before! Can sympathise with the not sleeping, I've been terrible the last few nights, it's awful. Hope you manage a good nights sleep tonight and lots of luck for the next few weeks.
ST - It's so lovely to have you on board! I think you'll like it here! We are driving up tomorrow, leaving straight from work but I finish at 4 on a Friday so hoping to be up there for 8 latest.

Morning all! Apologies I haven't been around, had yesterday off work as a beauty treatment day for my birthday and didn't get a chance to get on. (How bad is it that most of my forum time is done during work hours?!)
Claire - I'm so so delighted for you and you can of course stay around here until you feel more confident to move on - we love having you . Sorry about the scare yesterday - hope that's it for the rest of the pregnancy and you have a nice dull 9 months ahead x
Sally - Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well - any reason you can think of?
ST - Lovely to 'meet' you & great to have you on board! Love the avatar
AFM - In birthdaygate, just to clarify, it wasn't so much that he 'forgot' my birthday as such, it was that he forgot to wish me a happy birthday on the day and then got annoyed when I complained. Ya ya, I'm a drama queen! All sorted now though, got lots of pressies and a birthday DTD to keep me sweet. Going to see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory in the West End tonight and H is going to treat me to dinner, wohoo!
02/10/2014 at 11:44
Thanks Claire :) Fingers crossed traffic is kind to you and you have nice straightforward journey. I feel I should warn you it's flipping chilly up this way - only 2 degrees this morning! Bring a cosy jumper!
Tayto - Happy birthday for yesterday! Soooo jealous of your Charlie plans, I'd love to see that. I'm a bit of a musical theatre fan, to put it mildly. We're going to see the Lion King 3 weeks today and I'm beyond excited! Work hours are the best time for forums, holiday planning and all that kind of thing I reckon!
I should probably have included a quick overview of who I am and where I'm at - I've been hiding away for so long now that I'm kind of like the well-worn chair in the corner, I'm part of the furniture that has always been there but isn't really noticed any more! So I'm ST, 31, from Yorkshire (hence the Tyke) but I live in the North East. We've been TTC for coming up to 4 years, had a failed IVF in March/April this year and now in the midst of a FET cycle. ET scheduled for next Friday.

Tayto - You've been very spoilt, lucky girl! What treatments did you have done? Bet it was fab! I love the West End, sounds like a top night!
ST - Yes my sister warned me yesterday so I'll be armed with jumpers and I'll have to dig out my boots, and wellies because we plan on taking Ray for a walk along the beach.
02/10/2014 at 11:56
ST - I feel I should say, even though you know already, I am totally rooting for you. I can't believe it's a week tomorrow! Keeping everything crossed that this is your time xx
02/10/2014 at 12:09
Hi ST - nice to meet you. Lovely to see another Musical Theatre fan. I am very jealous of your Lion King plans! I'm a Yorkshire girl too. :-) Will be rooting for you next week.
Tayto - sounds like a lovely birthday, enjoy Charlie and your meal tonight. No idea why I'm not sleeping, I keep waking up at silly-o'clock and just dozing from then on so don't feel particularly rested. Hey ho. My usual forum hours are during the work day too!
Claire - will def be watching GBBO - will probably watch it tonight. I always want to eat delicious things when it's on, it's no good for the waistline!
02/10/2014 at 12:23
ST - oh wow, 4 years sounds like a terribly long time, I'm sorry to hear it's been such a journey. We will be sending you lots of our famous vibes for next Friday. How many embies do they have from the last cycle for you?
I'm only just getting into the theatre scene - I was embarrassed to realise I've been living in the UK for almost 3 years but hadn't been to the West End yet! So far, I've been to Lord of the Dance (about a month ago) and then Charlie tonight - my company organises them so we get cheap tickets and coach so it's well worth it financially then going it alone. Lion King 3 sounds like fun - have you seen the other two or would it matter, iyswim?
Claire - I got a luxury manicure and pedicure done and have nice pink glitter nails today! :-)
02/10/2014 at 12:24
Cross posted Sally - I'd keep an eye on the no sleeping & go to your Doc if it doesn't let up.
02/10/2014 at 12:32
I do love a good musical/show - I've been to a fair few, so far my fave is Wicked and Phantom of the Opera but I think once I go and see Les Mis that could all change!
Can you beilieve I've gone and got myself a cold, I can't stop sneezing and blowing my nose! Do you think paracetamol will help?
02/10/2014 at 12:40
Ditto Claire on two things!! Phantom is my all time fave and I've just spent the last five minutes sneezing and snuffling :-( Paracetamol and vit C usually does the trick for me!
02/10/2014 at 12:45
Claire - I've been on at H for weeks to go to the seaside so I'm very jealous of your beach plans! Although if it's going to be cold this weekend I just know that the option of duvet and TV would win me over with no contest haha. I hadn't actually thought about it in terms of being a week tomorrow, that sounds so much closer than saying next Friday! Hope the cold doesn't develop, although it could just be another symptom...!
SallyLou - Ooh yay, always nice to see other Yorkshire girls around, people who talk proper! What part of Yorkshire are you from? I'm a Wezzie, not far from Leeds but also not far from North Yorkshire and Lancs.
Tayto - Vibes would be sooo much appreciated! I've seen so many TTCers come and go, those that I started with back in the days of Hitched BT have multiple children now. We've got 3 frosties and we've opted to have 2 replaced if possible, but it depends how they thaw. I saw Lord of the Dance a couple of years ago and I loved it - if I could get cheap tickets I'd probably go see everything! I probably didn't word that very well, what I meant is I'm seeing the Lion King in 3 weeks time. I've wanted to see it for ages so when I found out it was coming to our local theatre on tour I couldn't say no. I've seen quite a lot of shows, my favourite was Legally Blonde until this summer when we went to see Rock of Ages and that took my top spot!
02/10/2014 at 12:58
I'm at work and work computers don't let us see forums boo
ST I remember you from hitched Bt, hoping things go well for you next weeks
Hello everyone else will do personals later
I tested and got a bfn was not surprised but still no Aunt Flo but got period pains could be I tested too early but expecting a no as I think being sick for over a month is going to make my body not want to conceive.
02/10/2014 at 13:15
ST - haha, trust me to get the wrong end of the stick - warning alert, I do that a lot! Hopefully all three frosties will thaw well so they can go with the best two!
LG - How annoying! Hope your body sorts itself out soon x
02/10/2014 at 13:32
LG - Waaaaah I really have been around forever! My work computers are horrendous, we have so many IT filters and there's so little I can do/see. We're also still running on Office 2003 and IE8, which makes a lot of websites incompatible!
Tayto - They defrost them one at a time so if the first two are OK the third will stay put... but we'll see what happens. What will be will be!
02/10/2014 at 14:45
ST - nice to 'see' you. Lots of luck for friday.
Claire - I think paracetamol will help. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Tayto - I've seen charlie and the chocolate factory. It's brilliant! Will talk about it more tomorrow so I don't spoil it for you!
Sally - boo to the 2ww, hope it goes quickly for you.
Lovely girl - fingers crossed you have just tested too early.
Well as for me I'm currently cd32 no sign of af nor am I pg. My last few cycles have been over 40 days though. Also weirdly my ears have swollen up! I went to the doctors today and even they don't know what it is. It's very strange and uncomfortable!
As for GBBO are we safe to talk about it yet?!
02/10/2014 at 14:51
Hi holey! Happy for you to talk GBBO here - I'll watch it tonight either way. The person who went was the one I expected!
ST - I'm a Sheffield girl. :-) - I live in Nottinghamshire now though, but still work in Yorkshire.
lovelygirl - hope you were just too early. Did you go to the docs about your sickness?
02/10/2014 at 20:15
Right going to work backwards just to confuse you :)
SallyLou - I have a set of infections which is why i have had the nausea the antibiotics seem to be working so no more nausea for me hooray!
Holey - When do you normally start testing? Hope you get your ears sorted that sounds really uncomfortable.
Sparkley Tyke what year did you Marry? its really annoying not being able to get on at work. Sending you lots of positive vibes for next week as won't be on much as on holidays unless it rains constantly
Tayto - I grab the wrong end of the stick and then run off into a trap or a completely mad tangent
