    hey everyone,

Just posted in the support after miscarriage but thought I would post here to!

I had an ERPC a week ago tomorrow and I'm still bleeding at the moment with no pain or anything..does anyone know how long the bleeding lasts?

I also really want to start tring again but the doctors said to wait until after my first period...I really want to start trying straight away but don't want to cause problems!!

    Has anyone got any advice?

    xx

Hi, I posted a reply on your other post. But as for the bleeding, this can vary. I didn't bleed at all after my erpc (except one very small amount when i came out of theatre) but then I started to bleed lightly for a week, 2 weeks after surgery. I ovulated during that bleed too.

As I said in my other post, you won't cause any problems by ttc straight away if you feel ready to do so, except for the docs who will have trouble dating the pregnancy until you are a little further on should be conceive successfully.

    Good luck ttc! xx

In the same position as me then hun,

I had an erpc and miscarried about a wk ago today and I have already stopped bleeding, so I am thinking get straight back to it!
I really wanted the baby I lost so that makes me more determined to do it straight away,

Docs always advise you to wait till you have had youre first cycle due to being easier to date I think it is people say on here, but I do know that youre exteremely fertille after losing a baby and you could fall pregnant within weeks, rather than months!!!

There is honestly know reason why you can't get too it straight away hun although you maybe cuatious this time round and have to take everyday as it comes but i'm sure it will be well worth it!!

And there is no reason why you don't carry the next baby to term as I know many people who have had miscarriages and carried a healthy strong baby after.

I know it sometimes can sound harsh but miscarriages happen for a reason it wasn't anybody's fault and you are most definatley not to blame yourself! these things just happen and to the majority of women.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do though but be sure to keep me posted x x

    luv Busybee26 x x:\)

oops sorry didn't finish my message silly computer.
Thought I would let you know my side of an erpc as unfortunately my bleeding lasted much longer although docs said this too is also COMPETELY NORMAL. I bled for 7 weeks very light bleeding but nevertheless 7 weeks! it started to tail off after about 4 weeks and went to yellowish bleeding but then went back to red, it was checked for infection and had another scan to check all was gone, and then suddely it stopped. Just a note of warning it took about 45 days to ovulate again, decided to have one af and then conceived next month. I am now 28 weeks pregant.

Hope this helps a little, I know it is a very sad time, and waiting for body to return to normal and the waiting was the hardest thing for me. I was lucky to take a week hols in Cornwall when bleeding finished and it was the best thing I could have dine.

    take carexx
