Trying to conceive

Hi we are trying for our 2nd and it doesn't seem to be happening. It took me 13 months to get pregnant with my DD but I'm now 35 and know my chances will be reduced.
We've been trying now for 8 months. I live in Scotland and know our NHS has stopped IUI treatment but just wondered if anyone knows if they'll still carry out blood tests? I had started to get them last time round but fell pregnant after the first blood test so never got the results.
I know I don't qualify for ivf but just wondered if anyone knew what I can expect my doctors to do or will they say the won't investigate because I already have a child.

my mum was 35 when she had me. and my neighbor is 43 and has a 4year old. so it does happen, and since your other baby was concieved after 13months... which can be normal, id say keep trying

My Mum was 36 when she had me hun, and I was born a healthy baby Another one of my friends fell pregnant in her late 30's also. So don't worry or panic as stress won't help.
Wishing all the luck in the world and keep trying xxxxxx

I found it really stressful the first time round with how long it took. I'm so grateful I have a beautiful daughter but thought it might happen a bit quicker this time round. Eight of my friends have had babies this year and they all fell pregnant within 5 or less months of trying. Suppose I'm just impatient. Thanks for your comments
