I'm Dannielle. I've been with my partner, Danny, for just a year and a half. I'm only 19. But we are POSITIVE that we want a baby. Together. Judge me.. by all means, I'm young yeah. But I do know what I want so PLEASE, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing to me.. Problem is, PCOS. I have been dignosed with it since I was 15 and I've never really had it explained to me. I need a new doctor but I also need some friendly pregnancy pals that are like me, TRYING to conceive. Please, feel free to message me! I'm Dannielle. My partner is Danny and we'd like to say HI.
I don't have a clue where to start or what to do. I've started taking pregaday (folic acid and iron tablets) and I've booked a scan with my gynocologist. I've been thinking about trying 'Clomid'? If anyone has used or heard about then, please message me
Good luck to you all that have concieved! Enjoy your bundle of joy ...
and everyone still trying! Don't give up! Good luck. *BABY DUST* xxx

Hey hun!! I have suspected PCOS (will find out on Tuesday!) and i've just got my positive pregnancy test!! I would say you need to speak to your dr as they will run some tests to see how much your PCOS is affecting fertility. Clomid wil only be offered after tests if the tests show you aren't ovulating on your own. They sometimes prescribe metformin to level out your hormones. The dr is the best person to speak to though!
In the meantime - you could use ovulation sticks as an indiator of whether you are ovulating or not and make sure you do the deed at the right time! Also - soy isoflavines are a natural form of clomid and you take them on days 2-6. Do a bit of internet research on them and start with a low dose it coud help.
And don't worry about your age!! If I was in a position to have a baby at 19 I would have!!
Out of curiostiy have you been on the pill? If you have you are really fertile right now as your hormones are still balanced from it.
Good luck! x

Thanks for your message hun.
CONGRATULATIONS! Although I'm jealous, it's so good to hear that someone with PCOS (or suspected pcos) is pregnant. Wish you all the best with that hun!
I was going to buy the clear blue ovulation monitor from amazon but it has a disclaimer saying it may not work with pcos. It's £6O and I don't wanna pay it for nothing.. Have you heard anything about that? Where did you get your ovulation sticks?
Nope I've never been on the pill, I was offered one when I was 15 but I didn't want it.
My doctor is pretty useless, everytime I try to speak about my PCOS he doesn't really know what to say, but I've been refered to a gynocologist so hopefully they can answer my questions! xxx

Thank you I defo have the polycystic ovaries - the results will confirm whether it's the syndrome or not.
Metformin is another thing i've heard lots of good things about - it regulates the hormone and resuces the symptoms of PCOS.
Ovulation Sticks - I got mine from home-health.co.uk i got dead cheapie ones - BUT they didn't always work for me. So i also used clear bue digital ovulation sticks for when i thought it was around ov time.
I'll let you know what my dr says tomorrow! (nervous!!) But hopefully your gyno app will come soon and they will clear things up. I am guessing that your PCOS hasn't been giving you too many of the troublesome symptoms seeing as you aren't on anything already?? Hopefully it won't be a problem - the only people that have trouble concieving with PCOS is when it disrupts OV.
