Trying to conceive

Hi! I am 21 years old. Trying to conceive for 6 months. From the past three months my periods got irregular. So I have consulted a doctor, and she told me that I have PCOS in uterus. I also have Fibroids in both left and right side breasts. My proctoline and thyroid test results are normal. As I'm very eager to get pregnant, my doctor suggested Ovacare tablets for me, and Oligocare tablets for my husband. I'm asked to take a scan on 11th day of my periods. Do we really need to use those tablets? What is the use of them? Will there be any side affects? Kindly help me. Thank you.

i am in the same position i am also 21 been trying for over a year to conceive with pcos, i personally have gone for the herbal route which has shrunk my cyst on my ovaries and also made me feel so much better physically, i also am starting reflexology which a few of my friends who also have pcos have tried and it has worked for them. just keep you head up, try the meds if that's what feels right to you i always say trust your gut, its your body don't get pushed into doing stuff you don't want to just because the doctors say so.

I know this is a bit of a late response. Hope all is going well with you TTC. I was diagnosed with PCOS a year ago. I was given clomid for 6 months and I did start ovulating but still no joy. I stopped taking the clomid in January and today I found out I'm pregnant. I have been drinking peppermint tea and have also lost weight since my diagnosis. Despite medical help I actually conceived natural, it is definitely worth considering alternative methods.

did the doctors send you to the infertility clinic before they put you on clomid ?
my doctors are useless then don't do anything they have refereed me to the infertility clinic however because i have lost my grandad recently i cancelled as don't think i can go through it. plus i have also just got engaged and planning a wedding now but i still want a baby more than anything i think i am just going to have the accept that when it happens it happens everything happens for a reason

in the same boat, ive been trying to conceive for a year now, already had a wonderful, beautiful two year old boy, but me and partner are ready for another.
i was put on metformin to try and help me, took it for 3 weeks and stopped i jusr couldnt take it, it was making me feel ill. after a year and half of not having a period i finally had one! Two weeks after i stopped metformin. it made me feel better knowing i was ovulatuing again, but then i missed the next month and so on
now my periods occur every 49 days.. im not over weight or diabetic, my doctor told me its just genetic the way i have ended up having it, the way my mum and nan had it. everyone keepsd telling me to drink herbal/peppermint tea as it shrinks the cysts, im looking into it, going to give it a try!
i have hosp on friday for check up to see how im getting on, hopefully there is something else then can prescribe to help me conceive, wish i could just do it naturally, i cant wait anymore.
essay and half sorry! only other place i can turn too feel like nobody else listens or understands. hope thinks work out for all us girls, baby dust to all.
