Hi! I got diagnosed with underactive thyroid soon after I had my little girl in March 2011, I have a really strong family history of it so just knew my symptoms weren't just new mum tiredness etc!! I've been stable for a couple of years now & on 100mcg of levothyroxine. We're on 1st month of TTC baby number 2 so can't input onto how long it takes to conceive as fingers crossed it's first month like last time (currently resisting the urge to test, due on af 30th!!) They think my problem started while I was pregnant as I put on 6 stone! I was a size 8 before so completely random!! And my pregnancy was fine & Libby has no problems because of it! My GP has the same problem so I've grilled her about it because it's freaking me out! I got upped to 125mcg when I said I was TTC & as soon as I get a BFP I have to call my GP that day & go & see her to get my bloods checked again.
When are your next blood tests? My GP went through the NHS guidelines on what your levels should be when your TTC or pregnant & it's different to normal so I would ask them to tell you your results. Your TSH shouldn't be over 2 and FT4 should be over 16.
Hope that helps hun! Hope your levels sort out soon & bfp isn't far behind!! xx

Hey mummytaylor, i got my bloods done last week but must go back on monday to get them done again because somehow they miss placed them not sure how that happened, im going to ask the doctor is there someway the eltroxin could be effecting my periods my last one was at the start of january the have being irregular for a whike due to the throid but i was hoping it would be slowly fixing it, this is my longest one yet 59 days, my breasts are so sore for the last 3 weeks, i was thinking maybe pregnant but have not done a test not going to get my hopes up that i would be. Any news on you trying yet?
