Happy birthday Slinky!
And good morning everyone :)
i am hoping someone can help me. I had a cp last month, and started using opk's during the month (probably later than I should have), I got faint positives at the beginning and then nothing. my cycle has never been regular for long but I always know the signs af is coming. This month there were none of the regular signs, but I am have been getting cramps for five days now but no period, and going by past few cycle lengths I would be five days late today. I nornally cramp during my period. And then his morning my opk had a positive line, although faint. but I am not getting preg symptoms like I did before the cp, it is literally just cramps, a bit of back pain, pulling on my right side of tummy, and a heavy feeling low down. It all feels like af is coming but she just doesn't. Oh, weird dreams and very grumpy when im tired, but not sure those are symptoms of either Af or preg. I tried looking online but all say to just do an hpt, but after last month I'm too scared to do one before a certain length of time, also scared it will be neg. is it normal to have a messed up period the first cycle after a cp? Or could I be pg? I don't have anywhere else I can ask, no one but my partner evens knows about the cp. I'm not going to test until next week, but was wondering about your opinions.

That's a hard one whale chick I'd defiantly agree with you to wait till next week to do pg test
I don't really get signs of af anymore where as before mc I used to get sore boobs but that was also virtually my only pg symptom too other than the odd sickness 2-3 times
our bodies are way too complicated

They really are, and there really is no reason they have to be! Lol. I think I will just try to chill out, not overthink it as I have been, and test next week. Thank you :)

Happy birthday slinky! 🎉🎊🎉🎊
Whale chick you definitely have stronger will power than me I couldn't wait that long! But fair play to you for being so patient! What is cp?
19/09/2017 at 15:48
It's not so much willpower as being utterly terrified of either result the test will show, lol. A cp is a chemical pregnancy, medical name for very early miscarriage.

Whalechick, I had soo many symptoms last month I just knew I was nausea, sore boobs, appetite increase, cravings for pickels literally falling asleep at work not able to function and strange as it sounds but when I'm pregnant my arm pits sweat bad. All this had me scared because I just knew it was it but af showed two days late. It's cruel how our body does us. I hope it's good for you. Baby dust
19/09/2017 at 17:03
Oh whale chick don't be terrified, either way wouldn't you want to know what the result is? its completely up to you isn't it, but don't feel terrified, what will be will be (I say this but if I was in your shoes I'd probably be terrified to) ooh okay xx
19/09/2017 at 17:16
Oh Dee2dee, I'm sorry af came, it's cruel when you get all the symptoms and then she shows her ugly mug. fingers crossed for you this month :)
Mummytolily, I think it is more that I'm scared that if it is positive then I will worry myself senseless that something will happen, so waiting until after next week there is less chance of that. Also want to give my body extra time incase it is just a weird af and it's going to come a late.

That's completely understandable, I think you're making the right decision, I would love to be one of those people that found out they were pregnant at like 8 weeks but both times I've been pregnant I've found out at 3 weeks 4 days with a first response, why do I always test so early 😂
19/09/2017 at 21:21
lol I was speaking to a friend and her mum didn't find out she was pregnant until around 5months (!) and then she was prem, so her mum had about 3 months of knowing she was pregnant. I am not sure about finding out so late, but later than my last two pregnancies would be less stressful, lol (dd I found out at 4 weeks, cp I found out just after 4w).
19/09/2017 at 21:33
Id want to know way before 5 months but would rather not know so early but I'm so impatient 😂 How old is your daughter?
19/09/2017 at 21:53
Thank you ladies, it's been lovely. Got a beautiful Polaroid camera from my OH, the photos are beautiful, can't help thinking they will make lovely pregnancy and baby photos when we catch a little bean again. Feeling full of love and hope (and prosecco) ;-) fertile days around birthdays is always good, fingers crossed it's lucky.

I'm new to the group after Whale chick found me on another post and recommended this one (Thanks for that! :-))I had a mc last week with my 1st pregnancy after 4 weeks... horribly painful!
I'm feeling really up and down at the moment... but also quite nervous about trying again and scared of losing again! How have any of you coped with that worry?
thanks all X

Mummytolily, my dd is almost 16. And yea, I don't think I would want to miss quite so much of the pregnancy as five months!
I'm glad to hear you had a great day, Slinky :) a camera is a great present and will definitely be perfect for when you get pregnant.
Hey Kate :) I'm glad you found the thread. I'm sorry for your loss, the first week or so was the worst for me, but it does get a little easier. I am also worried and scared about being pregnant again (in fact I am avoiding doing a test atm until after the 5w3d mark because thats when I lost the last pregnancy) but seeing the women on here who have miscarried and then have gone on to have successful pregnancies makes it less intimidating, and adds a lot of hope, for me anyway. I hope you are ok.

Hi kate 777 how are you doing? I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago at 13 weeks and the girls here have all been so supportive and have answered any questions I've had!
Whalechick ooh so quite an age gap then! At least she'll be able to help out! No 5 months is a long time especially if someone is drinking/smoking not knowing! I have my first day back at work today, I start at 7 thats why I'm up so early, I'm dreading it! I did get the managers to tell everyone not to ask me about it, I don't want to burst into tears whilst at work! I don't know if I'll be able to do my whole shift (till 4) as my daughter was a bit poorly yesterday and didn't have a very good nights sleep, shes at playschool today but don't know if she'll be up to it because I'll be at work before she wakes up, luckily oh doesn't start til 2 so he'll be able to go get her if she does need to come home. i hope by the end of the day I can start to feel a bit normal again

Good luck for your first day back, I hope everything goes ok. It is good your managers were able to help you out with everyone. And I hope your dd feels better, is it a bug she has caught?
