I just wanted to know if there are anyone out there ttc #1 with any tips, advice and support. I feel like I am going out of my mind with ttc and it’s getting me down. Me and my husband have only been trying for a few months but I feel like it’s all I think about at the moment. Anyone else going through the same thing?
Look forward to hearing from you all soon

Sorry for the late reply hectic weekend.
I am in my tww now too.
This month we tried the smep, well we stuck to it as much as we could but found it hard work. Have you tried anything like that yet or are you just going with the flow? I have been using ov sticks also. I am trying to keep my mind occupied...this seems like the longest wait ever!!

I am in the 2ww, cycle 4 of TTC. I'm also finding it so hard. I just had two friends over with their kids, who got their bfp on 1st and 3rd month. I don't feel jealous exactly, just like there's more evidence that there's something wrong with me that it hasn't happened yet.
I guess my advice is to figure out how to be really nice to yourself during the 2ww, especially the last week.
These forums can be really helpful for venting your anxiety and to feel less alone.
In terms of increasing your chances, timing is everything. Cheap ovulation predictor strips are great for making sure you catch your O. This month I ovulated 4 days late, which I would have completely missed without the strips and CM tracking.

Other advice: resist all urges to symptom spot before your period is due. It will only make you crazy.

I’m a terrible symptom spotter. Last week I had a headache all week and my google search went into overdrive!
I’ve not tired that, I don’t know much about it (google to the rescue). I’m going with the flow but think I ovulated late tho month (day 17) and I’m day 27 now. I bought an ovulation kit for next month to help me out!
I also track cm too.

Yes, Cali, definitely trying to forget about the symptoms in the 2ww is a great advice. Last month was my first month TTC and I swear after ovulation I could feel things I had never felt before and I thought I might be pregnant. Of course, it was the first time I was paying attention to all the symptoms and I think they were just normal post ovulation stuff.
I'm in my fertile week now, I think I'll ovulate on Thursday or Friday. I'm using the clear blue ovulation kits and last month I had 4 days of flashy smiles before the peak, and I'm on my second day today.
Hopefully this will be our month!
Good luck for those of you in the 2WW already :)

Maria I have the clear blue ones for next month are they good? Any tips?

They have worked for me so far (it is only the second cycle I'm using them). I bought one box and I think it is enough for two months if you test only once a day (which is what I did except one day I tested twice last cycle).
I have 31-day cycles and according to the instructions I have to start testing on CD10 and that's what I've done, I think I read somewhere that it is good to start with a few negative days because the digital stick remembers the difference between days and that is how it tells you are fertile a few days before the peak (I'm not completely sure about it).
Last month I got AF exactly 14 days after the ovulation day predicted by the kit so I think it is accurate.

I notmally ovuakte day 14 but was think this month was day 17 so I’ll start earlier just to be sure. Thank Maria

Every woman is different, but I've found cervical mucus to be a reliable test. These last two months I caught early and late ovulation by CM, before my opk did.
Look, I can't distinguish between all types of cervical mucus, but the fertile stuff I know. When you wipe, the stretchy clear mucus tells you it's time to DTD.

Symptom spotting is a downward spiral . I like to notice what's happening with my body during the 2ww, but now I try to celebrate the success of having a healthy follicle, fertilized or not. I had a few months when I ovulated too early, and the weak follicle didn't seem to produce much progesterone. No breast pain, almost no period.
Today I'm 11dpo, with breast pain and lots of moodiness :). I made a healthy follicle, and I hope hope hope it's fertilized!

I didn't use to pay attention to my CM before last month so I don't feel confident enough to use it as a test, but I'm learning now that I'm also using the opk. Hopefully at some point I'll also know all the symptoms related to Ovulation as I don't remember feeling anything until last month when I started TTC :)
Good luck Cali, just a few more days... Are you planning to use an early response test or just waiting for missed AF?
23/04/2018 at 17:25
I took a super cheap test this morning for a bfn (11 dpo). However, I'm going to try my best to wait for missed AF Thursday or Friday. Early testing only ever makes me feel bad. Testing early just means seeing negative over and over again for me...
I used FRER no matter what, because it's the most sensitive.

I found the CM really mysterious at first, but after a few months it became obvious. You can find pictures online.

Thanks all for your comments. My app says af is due the end of the week so I wait in hope I don’t see her. I am trying really hard to be kind to myself and not symptom spot as much as I can.
I have been using opks clear blue pink ones, and seem to only get one :) is anyone using these? And got more than one :)?
I have worked I O on day 18 and have done for the last 2 cycles so my body must be in some sort of rhythm. Yes I was the same before ttc I hadn’t really noticed O signs but now it’s quite obvious.
I am not really feeling any signs of being pregnant but surely I would wouldn’t I??

It is still too soon to feel anything. No matter how hard we look, pregnancy symptoms don't show up until after the missed period.
