Trying to conceive

This is my story basically - would like to know if there is anyone else out there in a similar situation
Partner and I decided to have our first baby, I have a 5 year old from previous relationship and he has a 10 year old - we have sole custody of both - we are all very excited about bringing a new member into our family!
Had Jadelle (or Implanon as I think its called in the US) removed on April the 30th (had it in for approx a year - switched from IUD). Started trying on the 4th of May. We know its unlikely to happen straight away but cant help being excited about it all
I was told to expect a sort of almighty period after having Jadelle removed - hadnt had anything so popped into local nursing clinic for some advice on Wednesday (15th May) regarding when this should happen by etc so we could start getting an idea of ovulation dates etc (expecting to do this over months). Nurse advised us that she herself fell pregnant 3 days after removal with twins... haha Gave me 4 tests to take home and told me to take one that day and if still no period on Monday (20th) to take another. Took one that day and showed negative which we expected.
Started to get spotting on Friday morning - very very light and pink. thought it was start of period. A little more spotting yesterday (Saturday) but nothing really to speak of - no period OR pregnancy symptoms. Today being Sunday spotting seems to have stopped. Googled about implantation bleeding so natuarally I have got myself all excited thinking thats potentially what it is! We only have the cheap sort of tests - and Im waiting until tommorow to take another one.
