    Hi Girlies,

After your help here - my DH has turned into the TTC Monster - thought it was supposed to be the girls that behave like this, and has banned me from drinking any alcohol (well he is trying to). Anyway, my thought on this are that is it acceptable to have the occasional few glasses of wine whilst trying, come on how many people do you hear of who get pregnant after a night on the beer, but a completely different matter when you finally get the BFP, which unfortunately hasn't happen for us yet - fingers crossed for this month

We are out with friends tonight and I could do with some support on this as I quite fancy those glasses of wine (crappy week at work), and at least I can give him a few quotes from you girls out there.

    hello
i'm sure a few glasses of wine won't hurt. i personally allow myself to have a glass every now and then but try to stop after ov until AF arrives just in case i get BFP.
it's good to hear that your DH is keen and trying to do everything to help!
i'd say go for it - it will probably relax you, which is always good for ttc!!
    enjoy your night out xxx

I have cut right down and hardly touch a drop but have just had a beer after a hard week at work. I'm on 2ww now so not drinking much but i guess a few won't hurt, so many babys are concieved after a night on the booze!!!

Is he also going by the no-alcohol rule?! If not and he is expecting you to abstain completely just point out to him that its just as important for the man to follow healthy eating/no smoking/cut out alcohol advice too so he can produce healthy little swimmers!

I usually have a glass or two of wine at the weekend, but not when Im on my 2ww. But between af and ov its PMA in a glass! A couple of glasses wont hurt, and when you do get your BFP, 9mths is a bloody long time to be tee-total! (especially as he wont have to be!) xx

I have the occasional drop too. Dont think i could stop completly unless I was told I completly had to, to get my bfp, lol. x

I dont think a few will hurt, many babies are conceived after a few. x

    Thanks girlies,

I enjoyed just a few and felt so much better for it., makes it harder with the ttc monster as he is not really a drinker, think going forward I will take the same stance as yourself - no alcohol on 2ww. Just wish I would get a 'sign' that I was bloody ovulating (started ttc in Jan and had been on the pill for 13 years!!! - wish they told you what it did to your body!!!)
