me and my OH have recently got married and decided to ttc I stopped taking my pill and had a breakthrough bleed 30th March and I have had nothing since! Going onto day 37 is this the same for most people coming Off the pil? I've had quite bad cramps recently think af may be due soon I've done a test and got a bfn! Looking for advice from some one who has experienced similiar please or if anyone knows what could be going on x

You might just have naturally long cycle hun on pill it keeps em shorter and more regulated but once you come off its guna take one or two cycle for your body to work out what cycle it wants if your not already pregnant hun I got pregnant straight off of the pill first cycle it might just be taking a while to show up have you been doctors about it or for a blood test xx

Well I've been on the pill 8 years and I can't remember what my cycles used to be like so you might be right. I phoned them today and the nurse told me to wait another week if it's still not here go and see them I don't get why they can't just do a blood test put me out my misery lol xx

Doctors are weird like that hun think they prefer if it resolved itself so they don't have to do anything most likely xx

How are u getting on? I'm in a similar situation...
My hubs and I decided ttc so I came off cilest pill 28th Aug, had my withdrawal bleed 31st Aug - 2nd sept (always very light) and since nothing, not had my first proper period yet. I'm now on CD55 (counting CD1 as first day of withdrawal bleed.
im getting very anxious now. Thanks.

Hope your AF sorts itself very soon you definitely aren't pg? I count myself lucky as I came off cilest and was pg on 4th cycle which went straight to 28 days. Sadly I've mcd since and am still trying but my cycle has stayed at 28 days on the nose. Fingers crossed yours does too x

Thank u so much for ur reply missmyangels. And I'm very sorry to hear about your mc but it must be great knowing u have such regular cycles and that u can conceive, you have done it once so you'll do it again Hun.
Im def no pregnant (unfortunately!). I did a clear blue digital test almost 3 weeks ago which was negative. Bought some cheapo pregnancy tests from Amazon so that I can keep testing once a fortnight while waiting for something to happen down there, just to be sure. Took one earlier which was also negative. Also took an ovulation test today which was negative.
I was on the pill 14 years straight before stopping and my OH and I have been having sex pretty much every other day since. Xx

Apparently vitamin c supplements can help induce AF and parsley tea!! Have a Google!! I imagine parsley tea is disgusting though!! I wonder if raspberry leaf tea would help?! That's bearable I used it to induce my son when was overdue and it worked as contracts the uterus!. Acupuncture works too have a friend that it helped:) good luck x

Thanks for the advice ☺️. I have a good intake of vit c already. Ill try raspberry leaf tea, where did u buy it from? I've heard good things about acupuncture, may try that later down the line xx

Hey sorry to hear your going through this is was so stressful I ended up getting my first proper period 8 weeks later! And then I feel pregnant that month, currently 5 months now :) the biggest thing that helped me was to relax stopped doing tests and ovulation tests and told myself it will come eventually and it did it was quite light aswell and then me and OH just dtd whenever we felt like it and didn't put pressure on ourselves and it happened. dont worry and relax :) xx

Ah massive congratulations Ljx! That's amazing. You must be so happy. And it's comforting to know that u went thru a similar thing to me with having to wait for af. It's really stressing me out. I'm nearly at the 8 week mark so im really hoping af comes real soon like it did for u.
I'm really trying to not obsess over it and relax buts so so hard. I just expected my periods would return straight away. Me and my OH are dtd every other day and although a bit regimented still enjoying it and not a chore. I'm gonna start tracking bbt and cm to try and get an idea of wen I'm ovulating as at the moment I have no idea. Also ordered some pregnecare his and her conception vitamins. And gonna request a blood test from go to check all is ok and hopefully put my mind at rest a bit. Did u do any of that stuff wen ttc? Any other advice u could give me/things I could try??
thanks so much for replying xx

Yeah I understand I was stressing loads at first i was back and forth to my gp and in the end they did blood tests but I think I got af before the results. I expected it to go back to normal straight away too but we were on it for so long our bodies are like wtf we haven't had to do it ourselves for ages haha! The only thing I did was took folic acid and then when I fell pregnant I took pregnacare. In my opinion I would leave the ovulation tracking until you have been trying a couple months because it will start to take over your life without even realising coz I got really upset when I didnt get positive results even though I was clearly ovulating! And if your cycle isnt a normal 28 day just now who knows when you could ovulate it could be cd10 or 17 It's random at first. I just think about back when people didn't have all that kind of stuff and they still fell pregnant and it takes the pressure off a bit and not getting upset if its negative coz u could test and then 4hours later start ov and not realise coz it said negative that's why me and OH just dtd every 2-3 days from when my af stopped to when I got a bf. It might be worth a try stopping dtd until your af comes and starting fresh after you've had it. Best piece of advice I had and could give is to let nature run its course just tell yourself it will happen for me when my bodies ready and enjoy trying, it worked for me :).
P.s one thing I read was to have a big o after your oh ehem releases........ As its meant to help them swim up with the contractions dunno if it's true but we tried it and here we are and plus it's good fun hehe xx

Thank u so much for all the advice 😊. i agree, my body hasn't had to regulate itself for 14 years so I guess I can't really expect things to go back to normal straight away and must give it some time. I think I'm gonna track my bbt and cm and if that indicates to me that I may be ovilationg then I'll do the ovulation test but I won't do it any other time. And I'll keep dtd every 2 days. Ive heard about that and the big o too! I do put a pillow under by bum and keep my legs raised for half an hour after dtd to try and help the little sperm get to where they need to!!!! Xx

Also I don't really have any symptoms of anything, maybe a slight bit of dull cramping now and again, odd bit of crankiness, odd headache but nothing significant at all! I just feel quite normal and well, literally no sign of an af or a pregnancy. were u the same? Xx
