Thank you for your reply Ashley, that's good to hear that it didn't take you long so so sorry about your miscarriage :( I came off the pill end of September, gave my body a break the first month, But now TTC. My periods are still quite regular which is a good sign :) but before I was put on the pill I had very heavy & painful periods lasting 7 days ! then the pill helped that the pains were less & my periods were 5 days every 28 days, but now ive come off the pill my cycle is 30 days & my periods last 3 days so I'm hoping everything is doing what it should be doing :-/ Good Luck to you Ashley hope you get your positive soon xx

Hi Sophie Jo, it took me 5 months to conceive after coming off the pill (i had been on it non-stop for about 7 years). I unfortunately did miscarry.

Aww I'm sorry Charley :( so heartbreaking !!
ive heard this a lot lately after stopping the pill, I think it has something to do with the lining of the womb not been thick enough ?? docters tell you not to worry & that everything will be fine, but then I read things that scare me !!
I would advise people not to take the pill if wanting a family some where down the line as I think it really messes everything up, but everyone is different I suppose.. all we can do is hope we don't have to wait a long time to conceive & that everything runs smoothly..
GOOD LUCK to all TTC :)
I will be able to test on the 23rd Decemeber, what a fantastic Christmas that would be if I got my BFP :))

It took me 5 or 6 months to fall pregnant when I had my daughter... I'm not on my first month off the pI'll and after the docs telling me it could take months to even ovulate, my period came today... It seems this month my cycle was about 33 days instead of 28 but it means I've ovulated which is the main thing I'm concentrating on rather than the fact it didnt happen this month!! Good luck everyone :)

Aww Charley bless you, such a long time but you got there in the end hun :-) Hi Fleurstones, I'm exactly the same mine were 28 days but now they are 31 days.. but like you said its a very good sign we are ovulating :-))) Fingers crossed for us all this month exciting times eh :-) I can take a pregnancy test on the 23rd of December what a fantastic Christmas present that would be if it was a BFP :-)))

I think I can tale a test around that date too but I try and wait until the day in due on and then if my monthlies doesn't arrive, I will do one then... Just so I know it's accurate!!! I think that means it will just be before New Year's Eve so wpuld be the best way to end the year, I just don't think its going to happen this month, I have a feeling it will take ages to fall (although I know for some 5-6 months is nothing) like last time!!! I forgot just how much months drag when you wait just over two weeks to ovulate then you have the looooooong wait to see what happens and see if you can get a positive test.... Then do the whole things all over again!!! The things is ladies do!! I do hope we all get the perfect present to end 2014 on :)

I was on the pill for 16 years. I came off last December. Im still not having regular periods. Can be up to 80 days plus long! I was a size 16, i have now lost weight and exercise regularly, i am now a large size 12. Has anyone talked with the gp? How long can it take to have "normal" periods?

Aww Fleurstones I Know !!! Its so stressfull & upsetting every month when we don't get the result we want & then we have to wait another month to do it all over again, so annoying !! but try & be positive at least we are having periods & ovulating :-) there is always hope !!! I really hope you get your BFP that would be fab hun :-) what a way to bring in the new year ;-) SENDING YOU LOTS OF BABY DUST YOUR WAY !!!! xXx
Hello EC3 Aww that's a long time hun for your periods to still be playing up !!
Get yourself to your gp, there are meds & remedies to help with that.. ive seen some threads on here actually about it, & the girls have all said how glad they are they went because it helped regulate periods & ovulation xx
