I posted a few weeks ago asking for some advice on Agnus castus .after coming off the pill and not having af for 6 months .
After getting lots of useful info from some of you lovely ladies I decided to give agnus castus a go . I ordered it online then the next day Af arrived (never been so happy to see her ).
so I decided not to take the agnus castus an see how things went this month , hoping that my body had maybe got back into a cycle .
Unfortunately I was wrong Af has now disappeared again she was due on the 25th , I suppose she could still arrive but I doubt it .
I have been to see two different doctors both of which said I had to wait 12 months with no Af before they would do anything . i`m really starting to loose it now . I don't know what to do .
I am just looking for any advice , and maybe someone else who is / was going through a similar thing

If I remember correctly they can't let you go longer than three months without af so if I was you i would definitely get a second opinion or refuse to leave the gp room until they do something x

Yeah it's three months continuous with no AF when the doc is meant to check things out.
i came off pill in jan 2014 had messy cycles not many afs I went to the docs after missing three continuous afs in a row. They took bloods and all came back clear so doc wasn't bothered and told me to wait it out. After six months without an AF I decided to take matters into my own hands and started reflexology which got my AF back wit was still having 80ish day cycles I have been going to reflexology for 7months and I believe it's helped mentally and physically but I decided to start the new year with a bang I had an AF in February which ended on the 17th so I started Agnus castus that day and I properly ovulated on the 19th March and had a two week luteal phase before AF which I wasn't getting before. The cycle was a reduced 50 day cycle! I was so happy. That AF finished 8th April so I'm now up to cd25 and could ovulate any day. Last cycle I ovulated on cd35 so I'm interested to see if it will be sooner this month.
Honestly though unless you've been ttc for 12months they won't do much unless there's issues so give Agnus castus a try and see if it solves the problem

Thank you for the reply . Think I will give the agnus castus a go . I've not got much to loose at this point , so annoyed with myself that i didnt take it last month when af did arrive

This is the exact reason why I dont plan to go to the gp until it has been 12 months of trying. I have irregular cycles and have been trying for 10 months now. My OH suggested we go to the gp and I told him that I know they wont take us seriously till its been 12 months. Hence I'd rather just wait another 2 months. Especially because me and my OH are under 30 . Last month I started yoga and got a normal 30 day cycle ( previously 35-38) I dont know if its the yoga or the fact that I stopped taking Pre conception vitamins but something worked. Anyway Its day 12 and already started seeing a line on my ovulation tests meaning I might actually ovulate on CD14 opposed to CD 23 ! Dont know if any of this will result in a BFP but it feels nice to assume that I am moving in a positive direction,

Mandy you can use an age old trick and just lie to your gp and say you have been ttc for 12 months. I never had this problem as I was diagnosed with pcos at 16 so when I started ttc my gp just referred me straight away to a gynecologist as he knew trying for a year would be pointless as I would not conceive without medical help. If you have the courage to lie then do it lol

Ellarose I honestly thought about it but my GP already knows when I started ttc because i went to her when i was having irregular cycles after getting off the pill . Prior to trying I had a scan and blood work done which came out clear.. its not pco's for me thankfully...lets see I hope we can conceive naturally though

I'm not sure whether to go back or just wait till the 12 month mark as it'll just frustrate me to be told the same thing again .
But like Ellarosemummy says you can fib about time scales , I've moved house so I'm thinking Of join a new doctors an I might add a couple of months on . I'm also hoping that now I've had 2 af in 7 months they may test me for pocs as I think this is a common symptom.
