Hi ladies I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced negativity towards trying for baby number 3 (or 4,5,6!) Some of our friends and family seem to think we are slightly odd for wanting a third, heaven forbid they find out we actually quite like the idea of having four! DH has a good job and I am able to be at home with the kids. I can't wait for the day that we get a BFP but I'm really not looking forward to telling people. Cat xxx

ignore them!! It isn't for everyone - people think I am mad for wanting 3 (I am only up to ttcno2 though) but if you can afford to support them and love them and take care of them then I don't see the problem with you have 3, 4, 5, 6 or 11!!

It's your choice not theres! Ive heard that the jump from 2 - 3 is lovely but ofcourse a bit more of a lifestyle change regarding changing cars etc. 3 is our magic number although I want a bit mroe of a gap between 2 and 3. (That is of course assuming I am blessed with no2!)

My dh wants three, we are ttc 2 now, would love twins and get it all over and done with at once haha. I am from Ireland and there are alot of large families there, my mum is one of 10 so I think it is more an English thing small families (I dont mean any disrespect with that statement). As said above if you can care, love and support them then it is lovely to have brothers and sisters for your children, I think an only child is very lonely but that is just my opinion. I had one brother and sister so love the idea of 3. Good luck.x

    Hi ya Cat,
We're ttc no.3, no one knows. I haven't said to family and friends because of exactly those reasons. Our kids are nearly 10 and 7 so the age gap will be bigger than id ideally of liked but the timing just hasnt been right. I'm the eldest of 6 and 15 years older than my youngest sibling (we all have the same parents and I'm 30) DH only has an older brother and it's taken a while to get him on my side of the fence when it comes to ttc. No. 3. Secretly I'd like 4... Another 2 year age gap so they'd have each other like my DD & DS do.
    Fingers crossed for us all.

G/C but I'm 32 weeks pregnant with number 3. We have a 3 year old and 21 month old. I had a lot of negative comments and get looks off of people in the street, but I don't care. Like the others ladies have said, it's up to you how many you have it's you that has to look after them at the end of the day, not the people commenting.

I'm 25 and have been asked by random people if my children all have the same dad!!!!! They do have the same dad and we are married. Some people are so rude and need to keep comments to themselves!!

    Xx

Hi Apricotmoon, none taken my parents are from Irleland. My dad is one 10 and mum is one of 6, its much more acceptable in Ireland to have a large brood (maybe I should emmigrate!) xxx
