Trying to conceive

So my daughter has chosen yet another of my work days to be ill so I'm home today to start this thread. Not much to tell at the moment. 6 or 7 dpo & no symptom spotting. Hope everyone is well. Do we have any testers this week? Af is due on Christmas Eve so I'll only be testing this cycle if I'm late or my boobs get sensitive.
Happy Monday all x

Hi blackkat - nothing to update here. We are at the in-laws for 10 days and my husband didn't want me to bring my thermometer so all I know is that I hadn't ovulated up to Saturday (cd27) so AF shouldn't turn up til after we're back home. Means I may miss recording the temps for it and therefore won't know exactly when to expect it but he's really losing patience with TTC so I didn't have much choice :/

BK - hope your little one feels better soon, and fingers crossed for you for this cycle.
PS - Sorry to hear H is getting grumpy. Can you take any OPKs with you? Maybe use the time away from home as a break, and just try and get jiggy as much as possible, It is Christmas after all!
AFM - CD6 for me. AF has well and truly gone, so now waiting for OV. I think I OV'd CD 17 last month (although I can only tell that from CM), so will start using OPKs from about CD 13, just in case. I did start temping this month, but that's kind of gone out of the window, as I have been ill, so will start that again once I am feeling better. I imagine I'll be OVing over Xmas, so I intend to have lots of festive fun!

PS: I know what you mean, my H gets grumpy with ttc too, hope you can dtd a lot. Enjoy your time away
Gavi: Good luck with the opk's I've always find them quite easy to use.
I started to feel a bit queasy this morning & started to get a tiny bit excited but then I remembered that 1, I'd been so busy that I hadn't had breakfast this morning & I've also been thrown up on several times this weekend so wouldn't be surprised if I didn't catch her bug. It's crazy that I'm praying to feel ill!!

Hi everyone, I'm just popping in while waiting for the clinic to phone in my blood results. If it's anything like last week they won't call before 5 though. Grrr.
BK fingers crossed for the best Christmas present ever!! What a good day to test :-)
PS sorry to hear your H seems to be losing interest / patience. With any luck it's just a blip and he'll be back on board soon. Especially if he asks you any temp or chart related stuff later on and then realises the reason you don't have a clue is because he banned the thermometer!
Gavi, good luck with the OPKs. I've always found them helpful as another tool to add to dates and cm checking.
SC hope you can wait until Thursday! And no harm at all testing. If it's an early bfp that's great, and if not, you know you still have a chance retesting once AF is due.
Hope everyone has a nice evening, we're going out to get a Christmas tree when H gets in from work, then I'll have to get it decorated. MUST remember it's going in the bay window this year so not to buy a 7ft one!! I did that a few years ago in the old house. Thought, yup, ceiling is about 7ft so I can have a big tree. Totally forgot the bay window has a lower ceiling, and poor H had to spend about an hour outside with axe and saws chopping the thing down to size and getting rid of all the lower branded. Ooops!

Just popping in as I'm trying not to get too obsessed in the first month. Good luck to everyone testing soon.
AFM, AF is due on the 22nd/23rd and we're staying with family most of that week. I know it's unlikely to have happened this month but part of me is wondering how on earth we'll manage to keep quiet if it has! Me not drinking on Christmas day yet acting like an excitable puppy would probably give it away. I am the world's worst secret keeper.

PS - Sorry to hear that your H is losing interest/patience with TTC, hopefully he will realise after this week and be back on it with you :)
Gavi - Good luck with the OPKS, I have never used them myself but I had long cycles so think It would of cost me a small fortune for just one month lol!
SC - Fingers crossed for you, no harm testing on thursday if you can handle seeing a bfn if it's too early.. I will have my fingers crossed tightly for you.
BF - I hope they called about your blood results and that they are going the right way, hope you have fun decorating your tree!
Eclair- You wont be able to keep it secret I was a bubble off excitement and told everyone in my family lol! fingers crossed for you though
JJ - Thank you for thinking of me and a hug is lovely right about now! Sorry FF is making you go crazy with giving you dotted lines!... Your not out until AF arrives! Fingers crossed you wont need that fertility appointment!
AFM - Had a tough day today was Jac's cremation, so feeling rather emotional, I am here reading even if I am not posting, It will be 2 weeks on wednesday and I am just waiting for my bleeding too stop, it comes and goes and I think yay it's stopping and then bam hello there it is again!
Started taking my folic acid so that get's into my system and then once bleeding has stopped I will commence my Inositol. and hope it brings my cycles back to short ones and I get a BFP soon!.. Me and H have decided that 2014 is our year and we are determined that we are going to have a baby by the end of the year!
Fingers crossed to everyone in the 2ww and testing soon!!! z

Hi CC, thanks for asking, but they called at 5pm to say they have chased the lab a few times but they weren't answering the phone, so I have to wait until the morning. Never mind. After all, whatever the results are won't actually change anything. Got the tree which is now decorated, yayyy! CC I SO admire your attitude and determination for the coming year. I have a good feeling about 2014 for lots of us xx
16/12/2013 at 22:53
Oh that's pants BF, sorry you have to wait too hear, But have my fingers crossed for you!
I am a pretty strong person and have a good family around me and so I have a positive attitude, and determination.. yes 2014 is going to be all of our year!

Bloods are in
19dpo, 4+5: BHCG 577 progesterone 88.6
23dpo, 5+2: BHCG 3981
Maybe just maybe we have a sticky bean. I won't disrupt this forum anymore with my updates since I think this pregnancy, although early days, is confirmed and not a chemical. I'll lurk about of course and hope everyone is doing OK xx

Yay bf good luck x

I'll just have to stalk you on the other side BF :) until I get to join you, which I hope will be soon. Great news on your results pet
CC you seriously are amazing, after what you've been through, I do hope 2014 brings you the bundle of joy you so deserve
When do we think I should start using OPKs? It's CD7 and I think I ov on 16/17, so was thinking if starting CD 13, just in case?
18/12/2013 at 00:52
BF: great news (although I've no idea about the numbers themselves)
Gavi: It depends on how long your cycles are? My average cycle is 29 days & I usually ov on either CD15 or CD17. I usually start testing on CD12 or 13 just to be on the safe side.
AFM: At 7dpo & during quiet moments I have been speculating certain symptoms. Really trying to keep myself busy as it's still too early & I'm determined not to test unless af is late, it's so hard not to think about it though
18/12/2013 at 09:23
So it appears that the vit B tablets may have had the reverse effect as I've started spotting already at 8dpo (normally I only spot for 4 days & I'm not due on for another 6 days) Am gutted but I suppose it's better to know I'm out now rather than waiting till Christmas.
18/12/2013 at 10:41
How long have you been taking them? Is it a case of maybe they haven't got into your system yet? Fingers crossed that it just a blip :(
18/12/2013 at 10:55
I have started the symptom spotting already argh!!! Last night I felt really unwell.. Had indigestion felt sick and a dodgy belly all signs I was pregnant last time.. So that put it in my head about it.. I know I am not although we did have sex a week ago I am still bleeding very small amounts and in need to wait for my period.. I have just jumped straight on the crazy train regarding symptoms! Argh
18/12/2013 at 13:28
Symptom spotting is a nightmare. The problem is almost any sign could be a real sign but it can also be just your body. Soooo frustrating. I've only been taking it from the beginning of this cycle so I wasn't expecting instant results but wasn't expecting it to have the opposite result! Haven't had any more spotting since this morning so can't rule anything out just yet. Will just have to wait, Take care cc x
