Trying to conceive

Hi all, hope you all had a good weekend
CD26 for me, expecting AF next Mon but i very oddly got a positive opk on Friday (CD23) i usually ov CD19/20 so not entirely sure whats going on. If my cycle remains 32 days then my LP is 8/9 days which worries me. Friday was exactly 12 weeks since my methotrexate injection & the date we were officially given to start ttc again - so weird i would ov late & on that date!
Sorry for the long story!

Cooper - I hope your body doesn't play up too much. I can't help with OPK's never used them before!
Afm - Enjoying our time in Cornwall so far =). My body has continued to mess up again, Haven't ovulated this month yet but has some bleeding, I think I need to go too the DR's its the 4th time in 3 months.
10/03/2014 at 15:25
Cooper - Sorry I have no idea why you would get a positive then hope you get some answers soon.
CC - Glad you are having a good time, sorry your body is messing you around!
AFM - Wasn't going to post today as I'm feeling pretty crap, spotting started on Friday and AF arrived today so 2 days early. Been down about it all weekend and my mum is now in hospital so been feeling really rubbish about that also, just want to cry today! Trying to look on the brightside, if my next couple of cycles are the same length as this one I will no longer be expecting af when I go on holiday in June (yes I am that sad to check lol).
Hi to everyone else who follows!
10/03/2014 at 15:37
Lulu - I am sorry to hear that AF arrived early! TTC really does suck sometimes! I also hope that your mum is okay and she get's better quickly. Where are you off to on your holiday in June?
10/03/2014 at 15:51
Thanks CC, I think I'd rather have an early af than late as at least I know where I am and it does kind of make sense as I didn't think I ovulated this cycle which ties in with the stress I've been feeling.
We are off to Italy I can't wait, I need some sun and relaxation! x

Cooper-not sure about pos opk, hope your LP is longer than you think
CC- hope ovulation comes soon, glad Cornwall is good, at least the weather is nice!
Lulu- sorry AF has arrived, and about your mum. It's nice to have a bright side to look to,
AFM - CD46 here! Had pos opk yday test and control were same colour, then had most pos opk I've ever seen today. Had watery cm on sat and watery/ewcm Sunday and today. Been feeling a bit achey so hoping that is ovulation today finally after a few tries of gearing up and failing already this cycle! Been DTD last couple of days to try and cover it.
Also just got back from Dr about last couple of long cycles. She wasn't too concerned but has given me day 1-5 blood test forms for if/when AF turns up and then also day 25-27 ones which I think are the usual day 21 tests but as my cycles have been longer she's delayed it a bit.
Will have to see what the next few weeks bring!

Cooper- that's quite frustrating, having to wait and see. Everything crossed luteal phase is same as normal.
CC - I'm sorry to see that. Hope ovulation arrives v soon but going to the doctor is probably a good idea anyway.
Lulu - big hugs. This whole thing is pretty cruel sometimes.
PiTheta - fingers crossed! Get busy doing the deed!!
AFM - cd 14 here. Over last six months my ovulation has always been cd 19 or 20 but this morning I got a peak on cbfm and my temps have risen slightly. Can ovulation dates just change by 5 days like that? Of course it would happen the month that the Dr ordered 21 day tests and I made a big fuss about having them on day 26 :( Timing sucks too. Was due to ov at the weekend which would be perfect but not sure we'll be covered if I ov today or tomorrow.

Cooper – hope your body settles quickly.
CC – yay for having fun in Cornwall. Oh no, hope the drs can figure out what is going on.
Lulu – sorry to hear about af and you mum. Hope she’s ok. Italy in June sounds exciting.
PiTheta – fingers crossed!
VC – really hope ov holds off to cd19/20 for you and your body doesn’t decide to confuse you too.
AFM – I’ve not said too much about this as I was trying to ignore it really but I was being investigated for gallstones which pregnancy hormones may have set off and yesterday I had my follow up appointment following a scan. Basically, yes I do have them but hopefully a low fat diet will keep them under control, which means no operation! Yay! And more exciting for us no having to put ttc on hold. :-D So, anyway, I’m cd8 and we’re back onto the good part.

I'm really sorry my head is all of a fuzz today, if you see my other post on my other thread FF now doesn't think I ovulated and I have a load of temps below coverline but no AF :-(
Cooper - fingers crossed AF doesn't show, I'm not sure what to suggest re the opk sorry
CC - Sorry your body isn't playing ball x
Lulu - Sorry to hear AF arrived
Pitheta - All those signs sound very positive for ov for you
Veecee - How long have you been using the CBFM for?
Sapphire - good news on no operation!!
Sorry I'm a misery guts today, I just thought I was having a normaly cycle and new what was going on but now don't. TTC is brutal.
11/03/2014 at 14:30
Sorry I hope I didn't kill the thread with my woe is me post!
11/03/2014 at 14:57
PiTheta - Sounds like you're covering ov so fingers crossed you won't need to have the blood tests done!
veecee - Hope you ov at the weekend and not just yet.
DollyP - You don't sound miserable and even if you did we all have days like that and that is what we are here for, I was very down yesterday but feeling better today. No idea on your chart but would it be worth testing?
AFM - CD2 roll on the good bit, feeling a bit better today thanks for all listening yesterday xxx
11/03/2014 at 14:59
Sorry Saphire I missed you, I'm rubbish with personals when it is more than 2 people lol! Glad you don't need op and you can still ttc! :-) xx
11/03/2014 at 18:19
DollyP - HUGE huge hugs. I've only been TTC for a while (plus a two months break in the NY) but I already know that it is an emotional time. Hope you're ok. Have you tested?
Lulu - sorry to hear about AF, she is a witch. Hope your mum's ok too.
Sapphire - enjoy this part of the cycle!
Veecee - I am not the most experienced on this but ov can be delayed sometimes due to stress, etc. Keep DTD and hopefully you'll catch it!
PiTheta - Also keep DTD!
CC - hope the doctors can give you some answers.
Cooper - hope that AF stays the hell away!!
AFM: I'm on CD19. For the past three days I have had sore boobs but am not reading too much into that, well, I'm trying not to read too much into it as it's obviously a very similar pre-menstrual sign too! Although I don't usually get that until 1-2 days before AF rears her ugly head. Still, it's a dangerous game to symptom spot so am avoiding it as much as possible. The good news is that because we've been having pretty regular sex and because work is crazy at the moment, the 2ww is flying by. Nine days until I'm due on. I'm not getting my hopes up, simply because I don't want to be disappointed, so I am already thinking ahead to the next cycle.
12/03/2014 at 08:16
Lulu, hope your AF goes quick and you can get on with your next go!!
Enjaynee, fingers crossed for you, it's hard not to get your hopes up but glad the 2ww is going quick for you.
AFM temp stayed the same this morning, I tested yesterday which was a bit pointless and it's pretty much impossible to be pregnant with a temp at 36.27 as I understand it, It's now looking likely I haven't actually ovulated and its now CD 28.
12/03/2014 at 09:55
This is my first morning on the threads!
Lulu, hope your AF goes quick and you can get on with your next cycle!!
Enjaynee, Fingers crossed!!
DollyP, Its not over until its over. Our consultant told me to stop temping as it wasnt really accurate but I still do it! Lol fingers crossed for you
AFM, CD12, temp has pretty much fluctated non stop since this cycle started and Im not due to Ov until around CD19/20, We have our first appt for bloods etc on 22nd March so looking forward to that!! We're DTD as often as possible to cover all bases incase I OV early so hoping to imvoke the law of Sod!!
12/03/2014 at 10:05
Enjayee - Glad the 2ww is going quick for you!
DollyP - I hope you get some answers soon x
LoopyGladys - I hope you do invoke the law of sod, good luck!
AFM - CD3 yawn!
12/03/2014 at 15:16
I am going to try personals:
Cooper - That's really odd that you got a positive, could be a blip this month ovulating late?
Chocolate Cupcake - I'd love to go to Cornwall! Glad your enjoying it. Sorry your body is confusing you, it's not fair.
Lulu94 - Glad your feeling a bit better. TTC takes it's toll. How is your mum?
PieTheta - That's a long cycle, but realy glad you got a + OPK.
VeeCee - I think they can change, I know I have had odd cycle's when I'v ov'd late, so I don't see why you can't have an odd cycle when you ov early (for you).
Sapphire - Glad your back on for TTC, and glad the Gallstones aren't putting a stop to TTC.
DollyP - Sorry your cycle is being so confusing. TTC is really hard. Don't trust the temps too much, are you using OPK's?
Enjayee - Hoping the TWW goes quickly for you!
LoopyGladys - I hope you invoke the law of sod!
AFM - As most of you know, me and H do home AI, to conceive. I'm on CD5, and I used to OV about CD14 when I was using OPK's, I'm hoping beyond hope that we fall really quickly, I don't think I could go through what we went through last time again.
12/03/2014 at 16:45
Well its CD1 so FF is wrong and I am pretty sure I did ovulate CD13 so I've done an override on the website, my opk backs me up too! Pleased its CD1 but at the same time we timed DTD so well this month it makes me think well if it didn't work naturally this month when will it!!
Hi Pocahontas, I hope you don't mind me being nosey and feel free not to answer but I just wondered what made you try home AI? Were you TTC for a long time last time round?
12/03/2014 at 19:16
I really hope next cycle is a lucky one. How long have you been TTC?
We we're TTC for 18months, had just heard from Dr's that Hubby had low sperm count and motility, and our GP was going to start referring us to urology (hubby had an operation on his bladder a many years ago, and it caused low sperm count, they actually said he wouldn't be able to father any more kids) and fertility.
So we came home and I was googling all sorts, and found home AI. Thought we'd give it a go. We done 3 inseminations, over 4 days. And I fell pregnant with my little girl who is now 18 months. :-) we were very lucky. We've decided to just go straight to the home AI this time :-) x
12/03/2014 at 19:55
DollyP - I'm sorry the witch has arrived. Please don't lose faith. I don't know if this will make you feel any better but a good friend of mine conceived after nearly a year and a half of trying. The month she fell was the month she, and I quote, "stopped trying and started looking for a kitten instead". She now has a beautiful baby girl. Sending huge hugs xx
CD20 for me. The 2ww is now slowing, typical. I don't want to wish time away or anything but I just want to know so I can be prepared. I caved today and googled symptoms which I know is incredibly pointless but .... I don't know what I was thinking really! Am also trying really hard not to convince myself that there is something wrong with me. It's really ridiculous - and it is linked to my health anxiety tendencies - but for some reason I am almost certain that I am 'not working' down there in any way, shape or form. When I had my op two weeks ago the doctor and consultant said "everything looked normal" so I don't know why I am fretting. Still, what is done is done for this cycle, not matter what the outcome. Trying to stay ... neutral :-)
