I just wanted to say hello and I understand the devastation every time a period comes. I go through the same with the 2ww, the hopefulness and the terrible disappointment.
How long were you trying before October, when you say you weren't timing ovulation? So for the last 4 cycles you have been trying to time things? How do you know when you are ovulating? Are you charting? OPKs?
I know some people will disagree and there are stories from plenty of people getting pregnant when using the pull out method, but I can't help but wonder if they weren't really using it so well. I've read studies that have said if done correctly it is as effective as condoms. So is your doctor suggesting that you weren't using any birth control when you were using the pull-out method, or after that?
I've read that if under 35, wait a year before looking into fertility issues. And I don't think that means go straight to ivf. 6 cycles isn't really all that long, on average. However, I hesitate to disagree with your doc and give you bad advice! I know you found about about and addressed the endometriosis, but have any other tests been done? I just wonder if there couldn't be some other steps before ivf, assuming you don't get pregnant in the next couple cycles (hope you do!)
