Huge congratulations CC! Really happy for you xxx
Well. I'm back. Officially DTTC. I met with my consultant last week at the recurrent miscarriage clinic. He's put me on 75mg aspirin and cyclogest (progesterone) 400mg 1 per day pessaries. He said I am to use them every day from day 14 of my cycle (though I usually ovulate on day 16 so more like then) through for 2 weeks until bfp. If no Bfp I will stop and AF will arrive. If I get a BFP I will carry them on until 14 weeks. He has given me the prog due to having never seen a heartbeat, he thinks my luteal phase may be defective and perhaps I'm not producing enough progesterone for my body to sustain a pregnancy in the early stages.
He sent me for lupus anticoagulant bloods too, and I have 2/3 weeks for those results. If I test positive for that, I will need to go back for another, but he also said, that he would prescribe heparin injections anyway if they are positive. Just in case I fall pregnant in that time.
I've been discharged from his care, back to my GP. I am feeling quite positive, I feel like we have that little push we need. I ovulated the day before my appointment so I started the cyclogest straight away. We only had sex once during my fertile period, but it only takes one doesn't it....?
It appears I'm quite lucky to have been given the progesterone this early so I am really hoping it works! Feeling quite good.
So...currently around 5dpo, CD22 of a 30 day cycle. Will be testing possibly on Monday to see if its worked this cycle and if not, will stop having to shove a pessary up me every night. Its pretty grim. After all..what goes up must come down....!!!
Love to all xx

Rod...great news xx Are you at DVH??
06/05/2014 at 10:47
CC - congrats again - really thrilled for you
Lulu - hopefully you next?!
Rod - delighted to hear you're on a 'plan' and that the clinic have been able to help although those pessaries do sound grim! Fingers crossed for you x
AFM - CD3 for me, operation tomorrow afternoon. Exhausted after amazing weekend back at home!

CC - huge contratulations hoping you have a very boring rest of 2014.
Lulu - fingers crossed for this cycle.
Rod - glad to hear you have some news. All sounds very positive. Although recurrent MCs must be horrific if they have found a cause hopefully there will be light at the end and you will get your BFP which turns into your first child. Even if the treatment is less than ideal I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.
AFM - CD?? still no idea where I am. No signs of OV anymore so I guess I'm in my 2ww but who knows. No other signs or symptoms either so I assume I am just waiting for AF to grace me with her presence. If OV was last week I will be due on just in time for my birthday lucky me.

Tayto - I typed so slowly I missed you. Good luck for tomorrow I hope it all goes smoothly so you can get onto your recovery and then start TTC.

Rosco - ditto for me too! Sorry to hear you still don't know about your cycle. Hope AF shows up so you can get 'started' or a BFP x

Just gate crashed to say to Rodders I am so please things are moving forward and you sound really positive which is great. Those pessaries are a bugger but I found using the back door entrance was much easier than the front door! Sounds grim I know but it's not half as bad and you don't get the mess. x
06/05/2014 at 11:31
Thanks Claire. I don't mind the front entrance, I have IBS so I didn't want to shove anything up the back hahaha! Also, I put it in before bed so I'm lying down and there is minimal mess most of the time.

Sounds very positive. I took 75mg aspirin until 36 weeks and cyclogest until 16 weeks with my only successful pregnancy and call them my wonder drugs so I hope you have the same results. I was taking 2 x cyclogest pessaries a day, delightful they were! Just a bit of warning though I suffered cramps that had me doubled over in agony and it's a common side effect. Good luck xx

Oh that doesn't sound fun. I haven't had any effects yet apart from some bloating. Similar to early pregnancy/ imminent AF. x

Tweetie I should have said, it makes me feel even more positive hearing success stories, so thank you! x

Rod - Great news, so glad you are feeling positve, fingers crossed you get your sticky bean very soon.
Tayto - Ha ha I wish! I hope your op goes ahead as planned tomorrow and all is ok.
Rosco - Sorry you still don't know where you are in your cycle.
Hi to everyone popping in :-)

CC - massive congrats again! xxxx
Lulu - nearly the fun part, hey? :-)
Rod - Good to 'see' you and wonderful news about the prog, really hope you get your sticky bean xx
Tayto - vibes for your op, hope it goes ahead! Glad you had a good weekend back home.
Rosco - That's pants you don't know where you are :( Hope she shows up so you at least know where you are.
AFM - CD25 and am sitting on my hands to stop me testing. I haven't temped this month due to broken sleep recovering from jet lag so the readings I was getting when I came back I don't think were accurate. I have clear PMS symptoms though - emotional today until after my run, sore nips still. The last two cycles I have spotted two days before and I'm due on on Thursday, have had no spotting. Not that that is a sign of anything at all but I'm expecting that to start tomorrow. As you can see I'm trying desperately not to get my hopes up.
