Morning ladies, sorry i've been AWOL for a few days. Hope everyone is good and I was sorry to hear AF got a few of you over the past few days.
Cooper - Sounds like a good plan, hope the opks start to get stronger and this is the month for you. I've heard that every other day is the best method to try.
AFM - Caught H taking my folic acid this morning! Apparently he read that its good for him too, not sure where he got that from but hoping he's right lol! I'm at the end of CD11 today, negative opk's for the past 2 days but noticed an increase in CM so think that's a good sign! Also had a decrease in temp for the past 3 days, which i've read is quite common before ov so have my fingers crossed my body will work as normal!
Will try to get on later to say hello to a few more of you! Have a good Tuesday everyone!

Tonka - heres hoping for ov - sounds like your body is behaving perfectly
We usually dtd every other day but as i say trying something different this month. There a few conflicting studies regarding this so we'll see what happens.

Cooper - hope ov turns up soon for you.
Tonka - sounds like your body is behaving getting ready for ov.
AFM - I'm cd12 today. Ov could be any time now, but after a rubbish night sleep on Sunday night, as M decided 1am it was time to wake up and have a play with mummy, temp is quite so clear. So I guess we'll just see what FF makes of things over the next few days.
Hi to all who follow.

Lulu glad AF is going too :)
Tonka it appears your hubby is right  "I know I should take folic acid to prepare myself for pregnancy, but do guys need folic acid, too? Should my partner be taking a supplement?"
Moms-to-be (and mom wannabes) aren’t the only ones who should be laying into the leafy greens! Dads-to-be need to think about what goes into their bodies, too. That’s because there’s evidence showing a link between folic acid and male fertility — and when it comes to folic acid, it seems more is more. In fact, one study showed that men who consume high levels of folic acid (over 700 mcg a day) actually lower their risk of sperm abnormalities by 20 to 30 percent. Why is that good? Well, the higher the quality of a guy’s sperm, the lower the chances of chromosomal abnormalities that can lead to birth defects, like Down syndrome, in babies. In other words, a great way for your partner to safeguard his boys is by loading up on folic acid (as well as other vitamins and minerals).

My first one, hopefully I do it right!
Cooper - Interesting about the frequency of DTD, it is something I have been wondering about. Fingers crossed for you.
Tonka - I hope you're OV is on its way
Sapphire - Sorry I know nothing about temping, I hope you get your OV soon though.
Chocolate Cupcake - Glad AF is disappearing, good news that H is around for the important bit
Lulu - Glad your AF is leaving you too.
AFM - I'm new here, hope I did ok! I'm CD1 after a very cruel 5 day late AF. I don't temp or do ovulation testing, am thinking I could get some of the ovulation tests. Anyone have any recommendations?

Youdidwell wally but just call me CC everyone else does :)
Canthelp with the opks because I dont do them but know some ladies get them on amazon but not sure which brand is the best.
Doing some sort of monitorng is important in my opinion lol.. you can think your ovulating at a normal time but can be earlier or later, fingers crossed.

Hi Wally, I use the opks from amazon www.amazon.co.uk/.../ref=sr_1_1 they have worked fine for me so far.
With regards to the vitamins, my H has been taking the wellman conception to make sure he's also got everything he needs :-)
08/04/2014 at 12:33
CC & Lulu - seems your both at same stage :)
Sapphire - you can be my ov waiting buddy!!
Wally - hiya! I get my opks of amazon, just search opks & a list will come up. Most of us that use them get the 'One Step' opks, various ppl sell them but just look for the best price, I ordered 50 the other day for £6 odds
08/04/2014 at 12:47
Thanks guys, I'll get some ordered x
08/04/2014 at 13:04
Oh me and Lulu can keep each other sane - Or try too haha!
08/04/2014 at 14:31

08/04/2014 at 14:35
Ff says cd16 so a few days behind you hopefully :) Fingers crossed for both of us!
08/04/2014 at 14:52
Hello! I'm trying to come on here more often to keep in touch but work gets in the way!
Cooper/Tonka/Sapphire - Fingers crossed for ov soon!
CC/Lulu - Glad AF's nearly gone
Wally - Hello! I've just ordered some opks from ebay but I don't know whether they're good or not yet
ASF - CD6 and waiting for AF to go, she's lurking a bit longer than normal for some reason. I'm not sure what our strategy might be this month...
08/04/2014 at 16:16
*Hazel* Hope she goes soon!.. Our strategy is just DTD as much as possible haha!
Got my tablets in my system properly now - Think that also gave me that good AF so fingers crossed
08/04/2014 at 16:43
Afternoon all! Sorry I did get on here earlier but got distracted with work before I had the chance to do personals on here!
cooper - good luck for the next few days - hope you don't wear your H out too much....!
Tonka - I didn't know that about men and folic acid - methinks I'll get H on to taking something to help. Fingers crossed you ov soon - it's all sounding positive so far.
sapphire - hope you ov soon!
CC - enjoy the upcoming shagfest! Does FF actually give you one specific date for ov? It gives me 3 possible days - is that normal? also, I was looking at some supplements for ttc'ing and I noticed one of them has inositol in it - isn't that what you're taking?
Lulu - good to hear AF is leaving the building
Wally - welcome along to the daily thread. I do temping and OPK's - similar ones to those Lulu posted - I just find it handy to know what's going on with my body.
Hazel - hello! hope AF clears off soon
AFM - I'm CD4, AF still lurking which is normal for me - she's usually here for 4 days. Had my pre-op assessment for my knee surgery today - all systems go for Saturday.
08/04/2014 at 17:04
Hello everyone, its busy here today!
Cooper, I hope shows up on the opks soon!
Tayto, good luck for thebop Saturday glad the assessment went well
Tonka, good on your H for getting involved with the Folic acid!
Sapphire I hope FF shows ov soon
CC yay to AF buggering off!
Wally, hi! I also use the cheap opks from Amazon
Lulu, glad AF is moving on for you too!
Hazel, hi there, theres lots of you at the same stage in cycles this month!!
AFM well as you know I had a bfp at 8dpo followed by bfn 9dpo. My temp is now down below my cover line.
Since yesterday evening I've been having brown discharge/spotting when I wipe, its old blood by the looks of it. My googling has led me to think maybe I had a very brief chemical pregnancy, does anyone have any experience of those? I'm 12dpo and would be expecting AF tomorrow, this current spotting definitely isn't like a period at all.
