Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

Thought I'd start this off today as I'm working from home this morning!
TTC wise: Well, you know the details. In one hour and 18 minutes I will be having my first bash at insemination. Trying desperately not to get my hopes up but it's so difficult. Thanks to all of you for your well wishes
Non TTC wise: still can't think of anything to do tonight so I might look up a yoga tutorial on YouTube followed by working on my front split which, if I don't manage to get pregnant, I am determined to get this year! Am also thinking of buying my own pole, the recommended ones are about £200, which I have ... but still umming and ahhing. I love going to pole class but I can't really practice at home, unlike other forms of exercise! I also want to buy some noise cancelling headphones which would be INVALUABLE at work where I could cancel out a lot of idiots talking, plus would be awesome for flying, but the ones I want are in the region of £250 which, to someone who has never spent more than £20 on headphones, is so much. But they are so good! Still - I won't be buying both things at the same time. If I had to choose, I would choose the pole!

Hahaha Enjayee - we both did it together! I'll go delete mine now!
Lots and lots of vibes for you today; I will be thinking of you & hoping for you. I'd choose the pole - I did a few classes once and I loved it! Which headphones are looking at? I got H a set of Bose ones Xmas '13 and they are excellent.
I've started another post on me so won't go into any detail here - it's CD1.
Hello to all who follow x

Yep - they're these ones! www.bose.dk/.../quietcomfort-25-headphones
My colleague got some for Christmas from his wife and he let me have a go on them last week, I did not want to take them off!
I think if I still want the pole in a month's time (and if IUI hasn't worked) then I'll get it. We have the space for it. I started poling again in spring last year and have now upped my classes to two per week and I'm progressing so much faster now whereas when I first started I was going once every fortnight. Was thinking of trying aerial yoga as well but I already pay for a gym membership and around £50 per month for pole dance (gonna get me a membership soon which will cut approx £20 off the monthly total) so I can't justify an extra cost! But a goal of mine is to regain my flexibility. I've never been a dancer or a gymnast but I used to be able to bend quite a bit and now that I have pole dancing in my life regularly it'll be a benefit.
Have replied to your other thread Tayto, I hope you're doing ok. Xxx

Enjayee - I'd go for the pole too, I've never done it but it looks really fun. Huge amount of vibes heading your way. x
Tayto - hugs again, I've replied to your other thread. x
AFM - 8DPO, not a lot going on!
Hi to all who follow. xx

Ah it is SO much fun! Flipping hard work when you're up on the pole as you need to use so many sets of muscles at the same time to grip and then to move, but it's really worth it. It's given me so much confidence in not only my body shape but in the way I see myself. Last week I was getting ready for my Saturday morning class and I found I wasn't ashamed of how my legs are, as working on the pole has really helped give some definition. If you have a class in your area I really would recommend it! I'm at the point now where I want to choreograph my own dances, even though I have no clue how to choreograph, but to do that I need my own pole otherwise I need to rely on the instructor's music (which is good but she's young so plays modern stuff, whereas I want to dance to Michael Jackson's Give In To Me!)

Ooo I'm going to have a look and see! If there isn't in my town, I'm sure there will be in the city I work in. What's it like on your knees?

Morning girls, sorry for going AWOL after all your advise our internet went wrong and then took us a week to get it sorted and with barely any phone signal I lived in the stone ages for a week!
Sorry for missing anything and hope you all had a good week.
Tayto - Big hugs hun, sorry to hear the witch turned up.
Enjayee - Good luck today, look forward to your updates. Pole sounds amazing, wish I was fitter to do it, as much as I have done recently is bought some goggles to start swimming again!
Sallylou - Fingers crossed for you x
AFM - AF turned up eventually, think it was about 10 days late not totally sure. Annoyed as it has thrown my cycles out and not sure when to actually chart it and I really wanted to start temping too. But I am now on to the next cycle, a cycle closer to hoping doctors will help see what is wrong. Seems odd now that I have got so far i am now wishing each one away to find answers. Feels like yesterday we were talking of trying again and starting, never thought we would still be here now :(

Haven't been around much as work is crazy!
Enjayee - Good luck for today I hope the 2ww goes quickly I'm sure this will be the hardest one yet! My H has headphone like that and they are amazing.
Tayto - Sorry AF arrived, are you still able to have your test when it is booked for?
Sally - I hope the last few days of the 2ww aren't too bad for you.
Mrs T - Sorry you're still ttc it really is rubbish, I hope you get some answers soon.
AFM - Nothing much to report here I think 6 or 7dpo but can't be sure. I'm going to start temping again on the advice from my acupuncturist, she was great and said there is lots we can find out from temps not just about ov.
Hi to all who follow! xx

Enjayee - Good luck today and hope the 2ww goes fast!
Tayto - Sorry to hear AF has arrived!
Sally - Hope you are feeling better?!
Mrs T - Sorry that AF arrived! When will you be going to the Dr's?
Lulu - Yay to coming back to temp! Good luck with it :)
AFM - I lost 3lbs at fatclub today! I am now - 2st 1.5! Yay!

Just wanted to say best of luck to Enjayee today. In fact best of luck to all of you. I lurk on here regularly to check how you are all getting on. x
11/02/2015 at 12:33
Enjayaee - Loads of luck for today. I hope everything goes according to plan xx
Tayto - So sorry its CD1, huge hugs xx
Sallylou - I hope the 2ww passes quickly for you
MrsT - Hello, I'm new here. I hope you're cycles sort themselves out and you get some answers
Lulu - Did you have acupuncture to help you TTC? That's something I've been wondering about trying
CC - Well done on the 3lbs
AFM - Caved and tested this morning B Stinking F N! I'm so cross with myself for testing. Still no AF, so will have to wait for her to arrive before we go again x
11/02/2015 at 14:43
Well done on the weight loss CC!
Wally - Sorry about the bfn. Yes I had my first appointment at the weekend, it was much better than I thought and she was more knowledgable than any doctor I've seen! I know a few people who have had it for ttc but it hasn't helped so I don't think it will get me pregnant but I'm hoping a few more sessions with her and I'll know more of what is going on which is why I'm temping again.
11/02/2015 at 16:51
Wally, don't get cross with yourself. We all hope for those two lines/one word on those tests and we will all get them one day, so don't beat yourself up for testing. I am sorry though that it was a BFN.
MS - thanks for checking in on us! xx
Back from work/therapist appointment now and just waiting for H to get home so he can cook us something delicious! Going to go out for a beer as well afterwards. Not loads of course, but just a slow Urquell.
11/02/2015 at 17:57
LuLu - I have heard good things with temping which has annoyed me about this cycle as I was up for it! Hope you find out good things from it x
CC - Well done on the loss, I am joining next week just can't decide if online of at a group yet.
Wally - Think we have all tested when we shouldn't have and kicked ourselves, don't feel bad as Enjayee said we all look for that positive result.
This was my first cycle that went all to pot so has thrown me for six, I won't go to the doctors until at least cycle 12 because I doubt they will do anything but then still don't think they will because the husband has children from a previous relationship and we have had a child together but because she didn't survive I am not sure if there is any point in going or just go private.
Enjayee - How did it go?
11/02/2015 at 19:42
Afternoon all - sorry for not returning - quite busy at work & was desperately trying to take my mind off things!
Sally - Any symptoms? Sorry, I know we should be helping ground you!
Mrs-T - that's good that AF has arrived but I'm sorry for you at the same time. I wouldn't not go to the Docs - it's worth a shot as mine surprised me by referring us immediately & that was only after 10 cycles! Don't go private straight off - give your GP a go anyway.#
Lulu - Glad to hear the acupuncture went well; best of luck for temping again although I really hope you won't need it. And yes, I'll be on CD3 on Friday so will be able to do the FSH & LH tests which is good.
CC - well done on hitting the 2 stone mark - excellent stuff!
MS - *waves* How're you doing?
Wally - Sorry for the BFN - it's soul destroying, isn't it? I cried all the way to work this morning with mine....!
Enjayee - Saw your fab update on your other thread, I really have everything crossed and hope this is your turn xxx
11/02/2015 at 20:04
Thanks Tayto, think its nerves more than anything. Scared of results maybe, ignorance is bliss I have no idea really!
11/02/2015 at 20:42
I'm doing good thanks Tayto. Really hoping to see you join us on the tri threads soon x
