Trying to conceive

Well, it is technically the weekend, so I thought I'd kick the thread off
As per yesterday's post, I'm just at the start of the 2ww. I'm very hopeful that I won't symptom spot this time, although I know I'll test from about 10DPO, but that works better for me than waiting for AF. My gran is away on holiday for ten days, so I have moved in to her flat tonight, on my lonesome. It's a bit of a drastic move, but my studies are really suffering at the moment, and her house has zero distractions. Basic TV, no Internet, no noisy neighbours, no games consoles, no DVD player, and no husband I also only have about an hour of 3G left on my phone, so will probably be AWOL for the weekend, and evenings too this week. Hopefully, by this time next week I should be on top of my studies and feeling better about it all.
So, what do you all have planned? Any of you abandoning your husbands for the week? We are planning a few meals, cinema, etc. so that should be quite nice. We are very lucky that ovulation tied in so well with the plans.
Hope you're all doing well, hi to all who follow

Saff-sounds like a great plan & im sure u'll really benefit from it. Also good distraction from
Afm - CD15 neg opk yest & as yet no ov pains. Had them for 3 days last cycle. My plans for this weekend are redecorating or at least buying the supplies to do so. Currently hate my bedroom so its getting an overhaul as is the spare room, epic job but will be worth it!
Hi to all that follow at a more reasonable time of day :)

Saffron - what a good idea!! :)
Cooper - have fun decorating!
AFM - work today then off tomorrow! I'm 6DPO CD20 and I'm really trying not to symptom spot and I don't want to talk it up but my BB's are VERY sore this morning and that has never been a symptom of PMS for me, I never get them usually! But again I'm not going to read into it and I WILL NOT TEST EARLY I WILL NOT TEST EARLY ;) lol

Saffron - Think thats a good idea to get on top of your studies personally, good for you! Good luck, hope you get as much done as you want too.
Cooper - Oooh! Come and do my house after please... we seriously need to spice our home up but we are so lazy!
Blessed - Hope the sore BB's means something.
AFM - CD26. Still not ovulated. I started using the clearblue advanced OPKs again this cycle, and they were low for a couple of days, high for four days, and have today moved to a peak. I'm doing normal CBD OPK's alongside them in the evening but no smile on those yet, really hope it happens soon otherwise I'm going to lose all hope in the advanced OPKs (Considering they already gave me a peak this cycle). Chart flash below for those who like it (none from today, lost my thermometer down the back of the bed, need to retrieve it today, grrr).
Looking after our niece (baby!!) and nephew today. Can't wait, love having them.

Saff: Sounds like quite a drastic move but if it works, good for you
Cooper: enjoy decorating & hope you get a positive opk soon
Blessed: Fingers crossed it's a good sign
Pep: I've no idea about temping & charts so don't know what i'm looking for in the chart. Hope it'll happen for you soon & have fun babysitting
AFM: I'm 8dpo (CD 24) & I need a slap!!! I was doing so well but last night, as I was trying to drop off I starting symptom spotting big time. Now I'm trying to work out if my boobs are actually feeling sore or if they're just stretching as I've been eating far too much recently. I usually have a 29 day cycle so got to wait until Thurs for possible af to start. I'm pretty regular in that I have spotting for 3 or 4 days prior to that (this time I won't try & convince myself that my usual spotting is an implantation bleed) so if that starts on Monday I'll know at least. Ahhh I hate waiting!! Happy weekend to all

Sorry, rushung about before party for oh's birthday but need help. Took superdrug test this morning and was negative. Had left it out and when I went an hour later to throw it out its a faint positive. I definitely didn't rush it this morning so there's no possibility that it was positive within the time. Late positive should be ignored, yes? Cd28 of irregular cycles.

Sorry for no personals. Veecee I'd test again tomorrow as it always says to ignore after the time. But, that happened to mr once and I got a bfp 2 days later. So maybe it's good newd.

Saff - You sound very determined to get your work done, good on you! Hopefully it'll keep you nice and distracted from the 2ww.
Cooper - I hope the decorating is going well and you're getting some dtd in!!!
Blessed - Its so hard not to read into things isn't it.
Pep - I hope you've had fun babysitting, I still have everything crossed for ov for you.
Blackkat - I feel you're pain with the symptom spotting, the closer you get to when AF should be the worse it gets!
Veecee - test again tomorrow, good luck x
Imp - Hi, hope you're having a good weekend
JJ - Those questions are hard, I hope you're having fun with your friend.
AFM, CD30, I think AF is due Tuesday if it follows the same as last month and I did Ov CD19. Trying my best not to symptom spot, I'm having some weird dreams which I think is because AF/BFPs/BFNs are on my mind so much.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone xx

Hope everyone having a lovely weekend
CD16 for me, hoping to feel signs of ov today..was CD17 last cycle that had the most obvious ov pains.

Veecee- any update?
20/10/2013 at 16:47
hi all. Sorry for the lack of personals yesterday and thanks for the reply Imp. I could say I'm trying not to get my hopes up but that would be a lie - hopes are sky high. Setting myself up for a fall I'm sure. Going to wait until tomorrow morning to test again as that's OH's birthday. Boobs have started tingling today, on top of tenderness. I'm definitely going to temp next month so that I know exactly when I've ov'd and so on.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday!

I'm keeping everything crossed for you veecee.

Veecee: I've got my fingers & toes crossed for you & there is no way you couldn't get your hopes up, will check in tomorrow. Try & get some sleep tonight x
JJ: Sorry you've had insensitive questions whether they know or not, hope your cold passes soon. Not entirely sure about your situation & exactly what any of that means but I hope that forcing CD1 is a good start for you
DollyP: Not long to wait till the wait is over 1 way or the other, hope it's a good month for you
Cooper: In the nicest possible way hope you've had pains today!!
AFM: 9dpo (CD25), it's strange that I'm even a bit tempted to test this month after constantly testing last month! Trying to ignore symptom spotting (only dizziness & possibly very slight sore boobage). Instead I'm looking for sure signs of af. Every cycle since they returned after having my daughter I've had 3-4 days of spotting before my af showed up. My cycles are, on average, 29 days so expecting af by the end of the week (maybe on Thursday), so keeping an eye out for spotting any day now. If that starts then I know af is on it's way. A little TMI but I seem to have a little soreness down there, maybe even slightly swollen so if that doesn't settle down I'll probably see if I can get a doctors appointment as these things worry me (I'm a bit of a hypochondriac - but as I work part time I can get to the doctors as often as I like!).
