Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

Morning ladies, couldn't see a post yet so thought i'd get us started.
Bit tired this morning as P was sick in the night. Everywhere!! Took ages to get her cleaned up and all her bedding is on it's second wash! She doesn't seem ill at all though so no idea why. Taken the car for it's MOT this morning and walked into soft play whilst it was being done. Had it to ourselves which was nice. Just housework planned for the rest of the day, dull. Then tomorrow i have a competition with my horse and H is going to lunch with his dad and P. He's never taken her to a resturant by himself so i'd love to be a fly on the wall.
Nothing exciting TTC wise. CD8 and remembered my CBDM POAS this morning. Still low as expected. Lot's of DTDing this week coming i think!!
Hope all the 2ww-ers are doing well and resisting the urge to test!!!

Hey AR. No wonder you're tired this morning with being up cleaning during the night. Hope P is ok today. Best of luck with the MOT - hope your car passes. Booooooo to housework but yay to horse competitions. That's great you remembered to POAS this morning.
Ive been for a 6 mile run in the wind and rain. God I'm mad sometimes. It was ok for the first half then the wind got up along with the driving rain and I lost my momentum a bit. Trouble is I was 3 miles from home so had no other choice but to suck it up and keep going. Wasn't my favourite run but I'm glad I went.
I think I ovulated last night after 10pm. I was in pain and really uncomfortable from 10pm and ended up going to bed at 11.30pm as I felt sick with it. I feel a bit better today but still mild pains. Will do an OPK later which I'm hoping will be negative to confirm this. In any event I'm going to try and avoid DTD today if I can because of our Florida trip but that said, if H wants to I won't say no but I'm not going to instigate. Good news is, if I did ovulate this cycle will be about 31/32 days instead of the 36 I had last cycle. Really hope things are settling down for me.
That was a bit long, sorry
Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far and all the 2ww'ers are doing ok with the symptom spotting.

That's great news about the ov-ing. Be great if things were settling down into a regular pattern for you. You must be soooooooooo excited about Florida, i'd be holiday shopping already if i were you! Well done on the run. Very impressive, i don't run. Unless being chased!!
Car passed - yay!!! Always a relief. Especially as we are about to move house and so could do without the car costing money to fix. Moving is expensive enough as it is!

Hope P is okay today AR. Glad to hear that your car passed the MOT with flying colours. Horse competition sounds like great fun! I'm excited to start using my CBFM, not long to go until I can join you!
CA that sounds like absolutely wicked conditions for a run! You're braver than me, although I can empathise with the wishing you hadn't bothered half way through a run. I used to run a lot. My knee was once twinging but I decided to run anyway. Half way through my run I was in agony but had no phone or money so just had to keep going. I was in tears by the time I got home. Turns out that my kneecap goes the wrong way (off to the side) so that ended my running When are you going to Florida? Good news about your cycles settling down! Hurrah!
AFM, I'm 11dpo or CD23. My cycles are usually about 25 days long but as I'm taking pregnacare I'm expecting my cycle to be a little longer than usual so will probably hold out until next Fri before testing if AF doesn't arrive earlier. I had some horrid cramping last night. It felt like AF was very imminent.
Hope everyone has nice plans for the weekend. H has the beginnings of a cold and I'm super tired so we'll probably just laze around here today. My spring cleaning turned into a mammoth clear out yesterday and I'm loving the way my home looks today
Wishing everyone a happy weekend! x

That's brilliant your car passed.
We are house hunting at the moment. Can't find any find anything we like. Think we are too fussy lol
15/06/2013 at 11:33
Ooo CA are you househunting too? We are as well. Found one we LVE that ticks all of our boxes but a railway line runs along the entire length of the garden (thanks google maps). I'm keen to look anyway as the train line is down quite a steep-looking bank so might not be too bad but it's put H right off

AR - Sorry you didn't get much sleep, maybe you can fit in a nap somewhere?! Well done for remembering CBFM.
CA - good news about a shorter cycle. I'm hoping mine reduce down to 28/30 days next month as they were before termination.
Figaro - How have you not tested?! I was thinking about testing this morning even though I'm only 6DPO Have resisted as I know I only had a faint positive at 10dpo last time!
AFM - 6 dpo. Hoping time goes quickly next week. Absolutely no symptoms at the moment! Chilling at home this afternoon, hopefully find energy to tidy the house. It's our first wedding anniversary tomorrow so looking forward to having lunch out with H.

Hey Figaro - sorry missed you earlier. Your kneecap issues sound very painful!!!! Hopefully your cycle will be longer but also that you get a BFP!!! We sold OH's house after 3 and a half years on the market. There was a whole hassle with the sale that I won't go into (long story boring) but was completed finally on 31st January. We've been looking ever since. We are in my flat and have been since the wedding so we are settled and have no date that we have to be moved by but I'd still like to get our own home and settle down fairly soon. We just can't fine anything that we really want to move to. I feel a bit unsure about railway lines at the back of houses tbh. We went to see one on Thursday night like that and have looked at another which is the same. I'm totally put off but if everything else was perfect I'd consider it. we go to Florida 3 weeks tomorrow - 7th July. I'm really, really looking forward to chilling out and just relaxing about all this ttc lark. I'm not taking pee sticks with me or anything!! Go me!!!!
Hi Mrs V - Hope you have a fabulous first wedding anniversary with H. Are you off to somewhere nice for lunch?
I've had my sister round all afternoon doing weddingy things so thats been fun. Off to my parents now for a little visit and will stay for dinner.
Hope everyone is having a fab Saturday xx

Mrs V, I'm absolutely sick of getting BFNs. I'd rather just get AF than another BFN, so I'm doing my best to hold off. We'll see how that goes! Hope you have a fantastic 1st anniversary. It's ours next Saturday Good luck for the remainder of your 2ww!
CA, I used to run every day. Even did a marathon. But my knee well and truly stopped all of that. I used to lie in bed at night crying because the weight of the duvet was too painful to bear. A mixture of physio and drugs stopped it from being agony, but it still hurts on cold days and if I wear heels for too long. Glad that you're not in a rush to move, we're the same but omg I love the house that I've seen. H has agreed today to at least look it. It's an amazing house, and we wouldn't need to do anything to it straight away. Ooo 3 weeks tomorrow, that will fly! I love Florida, it's where H proposed to me. Hope you have a lovely, relaxing time free of peeing on any sticks!!
I came into the bedroom to see how H was and ended up having a 2 hr nap! So lazy! Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday x
15/06/2013 at 18:42
Sounds extremely painful Figaro, glad your knee is all sorted now. That's lovely your OH proposed in Florida. I love the place!!! Not long for us to wait which is even better.
Good luck with the house viewing when you go.
Quick OPK update from me - did one tonight and its negative, just a really faint line so I think that either confirms I ov'd last night when I had all those pains or it was a stuttering start and I'll ov in a few days. I'm still opk'ing until Thursday so I'll catch it if it starts again. Really hope I did ov so that next months is in the middle of our holiday.

MOrning ladies! I'm mostly popping on to see if any of the 2ww-ers have tested yet?! You all have far more will power than i do!! Nowt exciting here, CD9, so i'm hoping for some BFPs from you lot in next few days!
16/06/2013 at 08:30
im fed up, I really believed this was it for me this month! I feel like such an idiot! I had almost convinced myself I was pregnant, I had so many symptoms! There's not even a hot of a second line! I'm 13dpo and temps have started dropping now!
16/06/2013 at 08:38
Moonie it's not over until AF shows up . On both my BFP charts my temps dropped before going up again. TTC is sooooooooooooo hard lovely. xx
16/06/2013 at 08:42
Oh I'm sorry Monnie, when is AF due? It's not over yet though x
16/06/2013 at 08:55
Iv never had a luteal phase this long before so I have no idea when AF is due? Thanks AR! I'm just going mad :-(
16/06/2013 at 09:26
Easier said than done but try not to torment yourself with symptom spotting. I was there last month and had started to convince myself that I might finally get my BFP. I had soooo many 'symptoms' that I really started to think that I might be. I drove myself demented symptom spotting and googling all day long. AF was very unwelcome last month. This cycle I've managed to relax a lot and feel like I won't be so disappointed if I get yet another BFN this month as I haven't built my hopes up at all this time. Hope it's just a blip on your charts and that this is still your month, fingers crossed x
16/06/2013 at 10:36
Moonie - I wouldn't be too disheartened just yet - your temps are still way above your coverline.
I, on the other hand, am well confused! My temps stayed up to 8dpo then dropped below my coverline at the same time I had spotting for 2 days. Yesterday morning I got red blood like AF but only for a few hours in the morning then it disappeared & nothing since apart from a bit of spotting. Tested this am (IC) just in case but BFN. So, do I assume it is AF & she's just playing silly buggers or not? Going to SILs for a BBQ today & if I don't drink just in case there will probably be questions!
16/06/2013 at 11:26
When is AF due RTE? Fingers crossed you just tested too early. Tell the inlaws you're on antibiotics x
16/06/2013 at 14:18
Monnie - your journey isn't quite over for this cycle yet. Still have my fingers crossed for you!!!
Figaro - its horrible when you get symptoms and assume its going to be a BFP and then it isn't. I'm now at the stage of assuming BFN as I've had loads of symptoms the last 2 cycles and not got pg.
Reb - I think having a drink today wouldn't cause an issue even if you did turn out to get a BFP. Just don't overdo it!!! Maybe the bleeding was implantation???
Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. Me and OH went out for a little run this morning and now we are lounging catching up on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Love that trash tv. I've got ironing to do but I'll wait until I bring in the washing before I start that. Got our car booked for Florida this afternoon and did the ESTAs and printed the tickets etc last night. Getting excited.
I've also been doing a bit of planning for my sisters Hen Night Dinner which is in less than 2 weeks time. Its all go here!!!

Hello everyone! This is my first post in a ttc thread, please forgive me for not doing personal comments to each person as I'm still struggling to get to grips with all the lingo and etiquette! Hope everyone is well and I'm sure I'll soon work out what to say in response to people!
As for me, I am currently CD17 (mega irregular cycles though). This cycle I decided to start using OPK's even though I have no clue what I'm doing! I think I may have got a positive yesterday, but negative again this morning. Last night and today I have been having pre-period type pains in my lower abdomen. Could this mean that I am ovulating? We DTD last night and will again today just in case. I am still so beyond confused with the whole TTC world!
