Trying to conceive
12/12/2013 at 10:09
Thought I'd better start a new weekly thread as it's getting too long to respond to everyone!
Scotty, have you had long cycles before? How long have you been off the pill? I had a 40something day cycle my 2nd cycle off th epill. I would go & see a gp if I were you. I believe, as well as a pregnancy test, they can also do a blood test which shows up pregnancy. Worth looking into. Take care
Not much to share for me, 3dpo just waiting.....

Morning BK! Into the waiting game now, eh? Hope it doesn't drag for you.
CD20 for me and I had a 'peak' on the OPK yesterday. I'm not temping or anything so I don't know exactly when OV occurs but at least I know it's around the right time! Does anyone here use the Clearblue digital dual hormone OPK? I had an issue with it this morning (see separate thread) and just wondered if anyone can help.
Hello to all who follow x

Just popping my head back in here,
As most of you know we lost our little boy on the 4th, I have this empty feeling that has given me the need to want to try again, I am guessing I wont be actively trying again until Jan time, waiting for my first AF to arrive etc. but once bleeding has stopped post miscarriage then me and H will be not trying but not preventing.
Hope to see some of you move on to the tri boards before I arrive back here xx

CC you are one amazing lady. I hope you're journey to conceive again is a short one x

I don't feel amazing at all Ducky, I feel very empty and confused and scared tbh, God knows how ladies cope with more than one it's so heartbreaking and I have been googling lots.
I am hoping when I see the consultant again they will give me some information about trying again and what they can do to help me... One midwife mentioned a stitch so hopefully that will help!
I am really unsure to test again in a week or so or wait until my period arrives.. and then start again.. I don't know if I can face seeing a BFN or i'd prefer seeing my period.
How are you getting on Ducky?
Fingers crossed for you blackcat!
WG - I don't use the OPKS, from reading on here they are very confusing lol.. I just tempted last time and found that beneficial seeing the rise in temps instead of the confusing smiley's
I have dug my thermometer out from the cupboard ready to start again! Will have to get my inositol out of the cupboard too.. started taking folic acid again a few days ago

WG: I'm afraid I have no clue with the clearblue digital - hope it makes more sense tomorrow. I'm like you, I only do opk's so I know roughly which day I ov but it could be between 2 days - wouldn't dtd any different even if I knew (Hubby asked me why I'd said we should dtd every other day then 2 days in a row!!)
CC: So sorry again for your loss, I hope that physically you're feeling ok (I know the mental scars will last a lifetime). See you in January, until then take care of yourself x
SC: fingers crossed for you for next weekend x

Hi ladies :)
Barefoot- I started taking pregnacare tablets so I think it must be them that caused this
Blackkat- since I've been keeping an eye on it they've been 34 days, came off the pill a few years ago so I don't think it's that, I've booked a gp appointment for next tue so I'll see if AF has come by then, thankyou for the advice :)
WG- hope you got an answer to your question :)
CC- so sorry for your loss, looking forward (that's probably not the right thing to say but I hope it makes sense) to seeing you on here in January xx
AFM- still waaaaiting for AF!

BK - I hope the 2ww passes quickly for you.
WG - Hope you get some answers.
CC - I'm so sorry for your loss, I had a similar feeling after I had my two mcs last year with the desire to get pregnant again. Take care of yourself and wishing you all the best for when you start TTCing again x
SC - I hope the 2ww passes quickly for you as well.
Scotty - How annoying about your AF, hope it turns up soon x
AFM - I should be oving atm, just need to jump H, but will probably be too tired for that!
13/12/2013 at 11:49
BF - how are you feeling?
Scotty - hope it all works out OK for you cycle wise.
BK - hope you get the answer you want at the end of the 2WW.
WG - Can't help I'm afraid but I am sure someone can :)
CC - You are one amazing lady - I am new on here but saw your posts on BT. So sorry for your loss and when you're ready to TTC again, we'll support you on here.
SC - Fingers crossed for you
DS - Get on it woman!!
AFM - I am CD 3, AF is quite light and I have started temping. Although today, I have a temp of 100.4 as I am poorly, think I have tonsillitis! Am off to the docs later.
13/12/2013 at 12:57
Thank you ladies - I have started taking my folic acid again, just waiting for this bleeding to stop and wait for my AF and then will commence on inositol, which seemed to help me conceive quickly last time. My thermometer is by my bed ready for me to start using again .
SC - Fingers crossed for you
DS - Get jumping on your H
Gavi - Sorry to hear that your not very well... :( Hope you get better soon! Yay to temping I love a good chart flash haha! good luck to you this month it's nice seeing a physical rise in your temps when you ovulate
13/12/2013 at 13:30
I typed out a reply this morning but the stupid system threw me out. He goes again...
CC - . I can see why people find OPKs confusing, that's for sure lol.
SC1985 - I hope the 2WW passes quickly for you too.
BK - Haha, I'm sure it must all be very confusing for the men!
Scotty - waiting for AF is such PITA, hope she turns up soon.
DS - hope you find some energy seeing as you're oving!
AFM, all became clear yesterday with my OPK queries (thanks to those who answered) so I think we did enough to make the most of my fertile period! I guess we're now into the 2ww as well - AF due day after Boxing Day. At least thinking about Xmas should mean that the next couple of weeks pass quickly.
Gavi, hope you soon feel better.
13/12/2013 at 16:43
WG - Glad that you have worked out what's going on with your OPK! Fingers crossed for you this month!

I am on antibiotics now so should start to to feel better in a couple of days...hope it doesn't delay OV as I am currently due to OV when both me and H are off work and I was planning to get right on it!!!
14/12/2013 at 21:15
Thank you Gavi :) Was one of our names on the list and My Hubby is called Thomas so used his name for his middle name :)
Hope they kick in soon for you! - Enjoy your DTD! lol!
Had a day out with the family today, which was tough but glad we did it and got out of the house, I only cried twice so that was an improved day for me, spoke to mum about trying for another and she seemed pleased for us so that made me feel better... Dreading monday, but just want him to come home now :)
Still waiting for the bleeding to stop and then I am jumping on H lol

Sorry, I introduced myself back in August but due to lack of Internet and the wedding I went a bit MIA!
CC I'm so so sorry to hear your news and I hope that your ttc journey is very short.
To all those on the 2ww, I sympathise! I never realised 2 weeks could go so slowly until ttc!
Afm: cd8 today, cycle 3 of actively trying, due to ovulate Christmas Day, so going to enjoy lots of festive fun. Nephews mother announced she was pregnant this week which has knocked me for 6. I haven't seen her or bil yet and just don't know what to say? They know I disapprove (they're very young and very unstable)so congratulations would seem insincere.
