Trying to conceive

Hello & welcome to the new Trying to Conceive (TTC) Board! This board has been created at the request of our current TTC members, as a place to share the frustrations and joys of trying to conceive. We are trialing the new board for the next month, but provided there is sufficient interest and activity we are keen for the board to become a permanent addition.
If you have ideas about the set-up of the new board, just add them here or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I know Ducky has some great ideas, which I'll let her share with you.
Time to get posting : )

The ideas I discussed with Sarah:
1. It needs to be approachable, and I think a TTC board will be. There won't be the talk of toddlers and nappies which is a bit 'woah!' for someone thinking about trying for a baby. Hopefully it can have the tagline 'Trying to conceive your first, or doing it all over again? Share your frustrations and joys here' or similar.
2. My 'vision' for the new TTC board will have some sticky/pinned posts at the top for:
* Abbreviations and Mumdrum language
* MTTC buddies 2013
* DTC discussions 2013
They will be on-going, rolling threads. They may get to a squillion pages long but it doesn't matter as it will all be in one place and easy to find. People can dip in about out when they want, no pressure about a daily threads or personals. Just a way to keep in touch and support each other.
3.Then below the sticky/pinned posts, will be the normal TTC board where people can post general questions like 'is my OPK positive?' 'What is the best fertility lube?' etc without having to 'hide' them within the TTC thread which is what happens at the moment.

I was just thinking about abbreviations. Was about to write IC and realised it would mean nothing to a noob!
That all sounds fab Ducky!

I really like Ducky's ideas. I'll make the DTC & MTTC threads sticky now and we can see if that format works. If others have ideas just let me know.
