Trying to conceive

A year into ttc I've struggled to take my mind off pregnancy and babies. How do you stop thinking about it?!
After a year back and forth to my gp I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 6 months ago. I no longer work full time but I do work 30 hours a week in a physical, busy and sometimes stressful job. Work helps to take my mind off ttc as do my 4 dogs and cat who I'm busy with at home.
I try to fill my spare time with walks, reading and working my way through some box sets with my husband.
What about you?

How are you hun?
I cannot take my mind of ttc either, I keep thinking about ttc in my sleep as well ha ha. To be honest, I do not know how to stop thinking about it - I'm completely obsessed. Even my partner said to me that the conversations are getting 'boring' because all I talk about is ttc. How rude?
I started going to the gym and also had some studying to do, but it did not stop me thinking about it.
What else can I do?

Hi sweetjudy! I'm well thank you! Had my cd21 bloods done. All normal. My gp suggested I try not to think about it and just relax. Easier said than done i think!!
babies seem to be everywhere! trying to stay excited about ttc is getting tougher as time goes on.
hope your ok pet! Xx

That's great news that your results were all in order! I thought about getting bloods done, but our GP is not great and starting temping this month so I thought I wait a few weeks. My temps went up after ovulation and they are still up so I assumed that I ovulated properly this month. Fingers crossed.
I agree, easier said than done indeed! I'm trying not to think about it, but I cannot help it. I'm telling myself that I'm not symptom spotting, but in fact I am, obsessively
I know babies are everywhere indeed! We go for a walk and there are babies in the park, we go to the shopping centre and there is an endless number of pushchairs . . . .
We will get our BFPs soon, we have to think positive! I read somewhere that saying ''thank you for the little bean that is growing inside of me' helps you think positive. So I started saying it every day - ha ha. I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but why not ehh?
What CD are you on?

Hi. I too have been ttc for a year, been pregnant twice but sadly mc both times. I was doing the 30 day shred exercise dvd (admittedly only did 18 days, but will be starting again after bank hols). Because you have to do the dvd everyday for a month, you do find yourself focusing on when to fit it in your day etc. It also gives you such a buzz. Good luck x x

Omg supastar, you lasted longer than me on 30 day shred! Haha! I lasted 5 days and I was out! Level 1 was fine, Level 2 bearable (just!) and got to three...did it once, half way through the second I had a strop and went and got a biscuit! Haha! I'm pretty fit anyway (I run a lot and have no problem with running for more than an hour) but that DVD?!?! Oh my god!! Haha!!
I can't take my mind off it. I never thought I'd be like this, but I am. I dream about it and it's the first thing I think of when I wake up, the last thing I think of before going to sleep and the thing in the back of my head all through the day. I run, take my dog out, do lots of work, watch box-sets galore....except I'm watching Grey's Anatomy Series 7 which is all about ttc....argh!
Is there any cure for this?!

I did level 1 for 10 days, then moved to level 2 for 8. Never made it to 3. I had to work thru the pain & could barely walk in the beginning, but it did get slightly easier. I wish there was something we could do, if anyone could invent it they would be very rich x z

A little something to try for you all...Pretend that you & your partner are back at the start of your relationship, think about what it is that attracts you to each other (their looks, their personality....), plan a romantic date (dinner, a movie/night out, a snuggle on the sofa...) & let nature take its course (the more you are focused upon each other the more likely you are to release the juices needed for conception). Your OH will probably enjoy the extra focus & attention too. Best wishes & good luck.
