    Hi All

Me again with the stupid questions, but what time of day do you usually do an ovulation test? I know that you shouldn't do them 1st thing in the morning due to hormones, but i was thinking of testing at 7pm as on a weds & thurs i work until 6.30, so i should have plenty of time to test by the time i get home, which would keep it at a constant testing time for the week. Does it matter if you are 30 mins either side of the time that you normally do a test?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jodie xx

I don't think half an hour would make much difference mate, esp if the last time you've been to the toilet before the test would be similar

Well I'm confused now cos I was under the impression that it was BEST to do them with the first pee of the day, because the hormones are strongest then!

Perhaps then it depends on the brand that you buy - I know with the clear blue ones you HAVE to do it first thing, but with the first response ones I'm using at the moment they say you can do it any time of the day.

I have always done them with FMU, I used to use the Clearblue digital opk's and also the cheaper ones from Access Diagnostics and they both worked with FMU.

HPT should be done first thing in the morning but OPKs test for a different thing which you should test for later in the day. I think anyway...!?!?

Hi just thought i would share my experience with you. Id always used FMU & found although it didnt matter with CBDOPK on other brands i got confused reading the sticks.
However, today i tested at 2.00pm & got a strong positive on OPK. this was a double whammy of good luck as ive got POCS & havent OV for the last 3 cycles! yay!
So i would say do them later in the day.
I did also read the leaflet & it says the LH hormone is released later throughout the day so late morning/ early afternoon is the best time to test.
It is just my opinion but hope it helps anyway.xxx
