Im 35 and my husband will be 40 in a few months, i was just wondering at our age how long should you be trying before you seek medical advice/help?

Hi kk1, I'm 35 also and have also only recently started ttc (cycle 3 and currently on 2ww). I saw my doctor before we started as I had been on the pill for 16yrs and wanted to check if there was anything she wanted to check. That was a no but she did say that if we haven't had any luck in 6 months to go back and they would start some tests. Once you hit 35 they are more willing to test for possible problems.
So just in case I don't get pg in 6months I have been doing by bbt charts so that I have something to show her if I have to go back and they can see full details of the cycles and it may help a diagnosis of poss problems.
Is it just me or do you feel like your really old because of your eggs? I know I shouldn't feel that way but I do.
Good luck in your TTC journey, would love to hear how it goes. X
