I have never had PCOS confirmed, although my AF's are always all over the place, often months and months between and when I got my first bfp i was told at an early scan that there were cysts on my ovaries...
Anyway, I totally sympathise with how frustrating it is to have such long cycles and having no idea where in your cycle you stand. I can't recommend charting your cycles strongly enough, I now do it when not ttc just so I can have some idea when AF is about to show up!
Looking out for CM is probably the easiest way to detect the possibility of ovulation - when you get any EWCM you could do an ov test to confirm and then if you're tracking your temperatures, you should get a temperature rise to confirm when ov has actually happened.
hope this helps?
