Sorry to have a moan girls but I'm get so frustrated at how long this is taking. Why can't I get pregnant???

I have been steering clear of this site quite a lot over the last couple of weeks to try and take my mind off things but it hasn't really helped.

We are trying but it is still difficult to try and 'fit in' all the necessary bding that we need to make a little cherub. We work so hard, OH leaves in the morning at 6am and doesn't get home til 7.30pm and so can quite often be too tired. I can completely understand cos he's working really hard at the moment but I can feel hurt if he doesn't want to bd at the right time. Although we usually manage at least one bd around ov and more like two.

I just want to have a baby, that's all. It's not like I'm asking for anything out of the ordinary - just to be a mum.

This is killing me. It just so hard. Not that I want any of you to feel like this but is anyone in the same boat?

I don't really have any advice just wanted to say a lot of ladies out there can understand how it feels.

Just try to be positive and confident that it'll happen when the time is right... maybe there's a special little egg that is meant to be your baby but it's not had it's turn to come out yet.....?!! Sometimes there's no rhyme nor reason as to why things happen or don't happen but just keep hopeful...!

My BIL and his Wife tried for 8 years, nothing was found wrong with either of them, they had two unsuccessful attempts at IVF, we're going for the 3rd when it was discovered they'd fallen naturally after all!! Now as hard as all those years were they wouldn't change it for the world because it wouldn't have been David, he came when the time was right...!

    Good luck!!

    L xx

    Hi Claire-Ski.

We've been trying in total for about 14 months but pretty seriously for the last seven months. Just feel like I can't see the end to this now. When we started this journey I thought we'd have had a baby by now......I suppose it's the same for you. It just so bloody frustrating!!!

K-Lou - thanks poppet. You've always got kind words to say.

PS - I'm sure I'm feeling over emotional about this cos my sister's best friend has just announced that she is pregnant with her first at age 38 (which I'm overjoyed at cos she's always wanted kids but had never, until recently, found the right man) - but it only took her THREE WEEKS OF TRYING!!! WHY?????

Might drink wine tonight! Anyone want a glass??!!!

    xx

TTC is soooo emotional, I feel the same sometimes. I guess these down times coincide with hormones and BFN's most of the time. I'm trying to focus on relaxation and visualisation this month....is there anything you enjoy that relaxes you?

About the bd'ing.......do you ever go for it in the morning? Couldn't you pull oh back into bed for a quickie and he could go without his cuppa? That way you could doze whilst the swimmers are doing their job!

    Big hugs. x x

hi honey, im sorry to hear your feeling like this!!
DH and I have been trying for 3 YEARS NOW, we know there is a slight problem, but doesnt stop the 'oh god why me? why me? why not someone else?' routine going on lol. but girls seriously you HAVE to stop focusing on it, it will happen, good things come to those who wait, god i hated that phrase, everyone said that when we started trying, it drove me mad. but it is true, the site took over my life when we first started TTC, it was so bad id get up at 4.30am just to spend 1 1/2 hours on here before i got ready for work, then id be back on the minute i walked back in at 6.30pm and id still be on there at midnight. it took over my life. i had to ban myself from it for a month, then slowly re-introduce it lol. but youll be glad to know im better lol. only spend little amounts at a time, but this site does get soooooo addictive and you start ot obsess over lil twinches your body makes. so i totally understand what your saying. but anyway enough about me.

    Oh MrsHopeful

Sorry that you are feeling so down! I know how you feel, it is exactly how I feel.

I've been full of PMA but I just got a text from 2 of my best friends (married) to say their baby was born this morning. I am so very happy for them, but it makes me so sad too that it's not us. We got married within 3 weeks of each other - ushers at each others wedding etc. and they got pg within 2 months of trying and now have their baby while we're still here trying

Just to let you know also, that since you were on here last, there has been a new forum set up called long term ttc - which is for people who've been trying for over a year or have specific fertility issues. Don't know if you want to have a read in there - sometimes it can be upsetting reading about newbies coming and going with their BFPs so quickly when you're still waiting.

Good luck hun & chin up xxx

Thanks for that Moomin. I didn't realise there had been a new forum set up.

You're right, it is upsetting a little when people get their BFPs so quickly, not that I begrudge them in any way, I just want to as well!!

I might take a look in there. Again, not that I want lots of us having to wait for ages to get BFP but at least we will all understand each others feelings.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so low, we're on month 7 and its already taking its toll so I cant imagine what doubling that must feel like.

Think the girls have given some brilliant advice and I truly hope you get your BFP soon xx
