Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive
04/07/2015 at 12:24
My period history last cycles have been 44 42 38 41 37 35 days long.
I skipped a year when I was 19 (21 now )had no periods at all. Went to the doctors had a blood test had a slightly high lh level but all others ok however don't think I was tested for ( progestrone and estrogen )
Was told as Wasnt ttc wait and see if they came back and they did however their a lot lighter and only mild cramps the first day now. Used to be in agony and very heavy.
I'm worried I'm anovulatory though as I get no ewcm or watery cm. I have had no positive ovulation tests in four months either. I had one nearly positive but I did a different brand test with the same urine sample and it was negative.
I'm very worried I don't ovulate at all. I'm worried all opinions ( clomid , Ivf ) will fail and ill never have a child ( currently receiving treatment for this anxiety as its ruining my life being this obsessed )
Another question is how many women never conceive because of Infertility ?
I've read about 90 per cent conceive in a year but I'm convinced I'm infertile. I'm convinced my cycles are anovulatory.

Please can someone give me some advice. Thanks

Try not to worry, very difficult I know. I had a few blood tests and one cycle I didn't ovulate but the one after I did..... The more you stress the less likely you are to ovulate- not a helpful piece of advice I know!! Maybe ask your doctor to run tests to see whether or not you ovulate? If you try having sex every 3 days that's supposed to cover you throughout your cycle!!! I'm currently on cycle 9 ttc my second, I didn't think it would take this long, with my daughter I was ttc for 5 months.... I don't know why it's taking so much longer this time but hang in there, you will get there.... I know it's so easy to say and impossible to do!! Good luck!!

are cycles between 35-44 days a reason to worry do you think?
also they stopped for a year two years ago which worries me greatly.
good luck ttc your 2nd remember its normal to take a while to.

I don't think there is any such thing as normal.... As long as you are doing what you can to stay healthy then you are in with a chance, one lady on here had a 67 day cycle and is now nearly 11 weeks pregnant!!!
I've been tracking all year and I've noticed that one of my ovaries has a 27 cycle and I get a positive opk on cd14 so ovulate cd15 and the otherside which is my right hand side is a longer side and is either 30 or 32 days.... very strange and not something I have heard or or read before but just seems how my body works. I don't think I ovulate very often on my right hand side and it's that side this cycle which is why I think I'm out this month.
where is your cycle are you? I'm currently on cd 16 and no positive opk yet so I will either get it tomorrow or Tuesday(if at all) if my past experiences are anything to go by!!
this ttc is exhausting but you aren't alone, there are lots of lovely ladies on here that are always there to listen to a rant when we have a bad or emotional day

im cd 28 today.
earliest im expecting period is cd 35
i have possibly thought that my cycles which where 35 37 38 days could be from one ovary
and the 41 42 44 could be from the other one as well.
just a bit worried as they say over 35 days could be an-ovulatory and also 35-44 is not 'regular'
i also wonder why they stopped for a whole year once and they only found a slightly high lh level (don't think they tested oestrogen and progesterone).
i also get no ov signs (no ewcm) never had a fully pos opk either and to scared to bbt incase it shows no ovulation

scared though as my cycles are 35-44 days . Earliest period was due is Saturday.
got a faint positive yesterday to son another ic. So 6 days before period due so worried about a chemical pregnancy
07/07/2015 at 20:24
Oh my goodness- congratulations how bloody exciting!! I told you to relax a little!! Fingers crossed it's a sticky bean for you and you have a happy and healthy pregnancy! Good luck hun!
07/07/2015 at 20:31
Wow - congratulations!!! Firstly, I think you need to do your very best to try and calm down hun, but I know it's easier said than done. We can spend all our lives worrying about loads of different possibilities to any given situation, but in the end, whatever the situation is, you've worried about 10 other scenarios that never happened.
I was going to tell you about how I didn't have periods for about 18 months when I was 18/19. I had a blood test to show that I wasn't working properly either. Eventually I got periods again but they weren't as heavy or painful either. I think they're often worse when you're a teenager!!
Just because you have an early BFP doesn't mean you're going to have a chemical pregnancy. It just means you've got an early BFP. And you might have had a shorter cycle this month, who knows?! You won't know for sure until you have your 12 week scan and get dated (that's if you're in the UK - I don't know what happens in the US).
Try not to panic about things that haven't happened yet and probably never will. I've got a healthy 5 year old, I miscarried twins and I had a chemical pregnancy. I'm currently pregnant again and waiting for my 12 week scan in 3 days' time. It might be alive, it might not, but there's nothing I can do until I find out on Friday so I might as well assume all is well because that is the least distressing option.
I hope you get some help for your anxieties and I hope you have a healthy and happy 9 months!! Let us know xxx

I am over the moon.
have a belly ache this evening. Could this mean anything bad ? Especially so early lol.
teabag- I will try my best and good luck at your scan.
flossy - gl ttc your 2nd and thanks. I can't believe I'm pregnant. Wow.

I think abdominal cramps and niggles are perfectly normal in early pregnancy. As long as they're uncomfortable and not painful, it's fine. Your body starts stretching and reacting to the different hormones already. All good stuff!! xx

This is it after five minutes. Stronger than yesterday right?
i just have one more question on some websites I read ' chemical pregnancies accounts for 50-70 per cent of miscarriages ' on other websites I read '50-70 per cent end in chemical pregnanices ' surely that many cant end in chemical pregnancies ? The first one must be true.
they are just uncomfy.
off to the doctors tomorrow as I made an app a week ago for another issue so will mention I am pregnant

08/07/2015 at 20:00
i can really relate to you Emma because I really panic and worry about everything too I waiting for my bloods to come back from my day 3 blood test .. I am also worried I'm infertile too! Xx
08/07/2015 at 20:14
Wow, congratulations Emma on the BFP, after all the worry and stress it's so nice to see that things are looking up, I hope everything goes well for you and you'll keep us updated. And just to try and make you feel better, I had a chemical pregnancy almost two years ago, got a BFP was SO excited, couldn't believe it, took another test just to be sure, BFN, took another in the morning, another BFN, af turned up within a day, you're tests suggest a strengthening pregnancy, so GL.
Teabag, GL with the scan, a positive attitude is always best.
I'm hoping for my own BFP soon, trying to stay positive just like Teabag.

Thank you both. Its scary I read 50 per cent of preg's end in a cp. that's 1 in 2. Surely not?
thats a lot of women. But that's what it says online so the chance is 50/50
its nice to know I'm fertile but I doubt ill be giving birth to this little bean. I just have a feeling. My ic arnt that dark either still very faint
katie- after all my worrying I know first hand that the worst ( being infertile ) probably wont happen. I had no signs I was ovulating ( not a drop of ewcm ) nothing . And hear I am. Pregnant. Good luck to you and I bet it turns out ok.
Kirsty- I'm so sorry about your cp. it must of been heartbreaking . Have you got any kids ? Good luck ttc it will happen for you and for katie to.
