My sis is in hospital with a broken ankle, she slipped on the ice on Monday on her way round to the clinic for her 1st midwife app! I was with her and managed to flag down a passing ambulance! Its a very bad break and shes gonna need several ops and she can't be put under (for obvious reasons) so has to have them awake!!! Today she went for an early scan after her 1st op to check that the baby is OK and theres two heartbeats!!! I was the first to knowalthough hubby was due to ring her at 11am so he should know now too! She is understandably a little shocked, esp. as she is gonna be on a zimmer frame for quite a while when she gets out of hospital- not gonna be easy getting round with a huge belly and a badly broken ankle!!!  Dox say it could be a while before she can get around normally again. Since I'm a SAHM I've offered to take care of her when she gets home-her hubby is saving his hols for D-Day to add to his paternity leave. I'm sooo excited for her (and a little envious-I always wanted twins).

    Thanks for the reply Emma!!!

She had it reset yesterday and is having metal rods put in tomorrow-assumming all goes well that should be it until rods need takin out! But they told her that if they don't get absolutely right she may never walk on her right leg again But we're staying positive at the moment-theres lots to be thankful for!

My sis finally came home last night She is in alot of pain with no painrelief except paracetamol I went round today and did her laundry, dishes and cooked her a healthy meal for lunch Her hubby is trying but he's not really the house husband type and my sis is going out of her mind wanting to get up and do it herself! She has to have a bed downstairs and she won't let him get in it with her (he's a kicker,LOL)so he has brought an extra mattress down and has squashed it upto her bed so he can be near her-AWWW!!!
