I'm trying to ensure that my Lo eats enough fish. I try to give her one or two portions a week. I usually steam a piece of cod with some green vegetables then mix it all in with rice and a bit of lemon and parsley, or make a big fish pie and freeze some of the portions. I love fish, but I've never really cooked it at home as my husband doesn't like it. Any ideas of ways to get more fish into Annabel's diet, any quick and easy tried and tested recipes. We are getting a bit bored of cod and rice, ha ha. I might try some fish cakes, but would love a few suggestions please. Thanks x x

My hubby is allergic to fish so we don't eat too much but my daughter has always loved fishfingers & fish cakes. She also eats tuna or mackerel. Fish pie is still a bit hit or miss. I guess whatever you're eating is fine

another easy idea with fish is sardines on toast ( either plain or in tomato sauce) admittedly not to everyone's taste but a quick and easy brunch/lunch idea to incorporate more fish into a LO's diet.

Mmm, haven't had sardines on toast with my daughter for awhile, thanks for the reminder!

my little one likes salmon curry with rice, baked salmon cooked with garlic and lemon served with potato and veg, haddock with parsley sauce served with mash and veg, pan fried (butter) cod or haddock in parsley butter sauce served with potato and veg

Sardines on toast sounds like a great idea, we use to have them as kids all the time. I think my Mum still eats them as a snack.
I am going to spend a day in the kitchen next week (my Mum is coming to visit and babysit) so aim to get creative with a few fish meals for the freezer.
