Annabel is nearly 11 months, she can't walk yet but has learnt how to stand. At dinner times we now have a constant battle as she likes to stand up in her highchair!!! It is obviously quite dangerous and I am worried as I can no longer leave her (in view) in her chair while I make food/get food etc.
My question is: Do you think this is just a phase or should I go out and buy a new highchair (we have a pretty wooden one from an antique market - in hindsight not the most practical of chairs!). It doesn't have straps. Do you think she will 'grow out' of this!
I do have a booster chair which attaches to a normal chair, however Annabel has kicked herself over by kicking the table with her legs, so again I have to constant grasp of her.

If it were me I'd get a cheap one with straps just till this phase passes lol! U can always use the wooden one when she stops standing up. The novelty will soon wear off, bless her x

You could just buy some baby reins and use those to tie her down good luck

Maxs Mummy - good idea. I am off to Mothercare today so will look at buying some. I'm desperate to take a photo but obviously owing to safety reasons can't really find the right moment, ha ha x

I got some reins, much better now I can actually walk away to get food/drinks etc. Occasionally Annabel attempts to climb out whilst in the reins, but obviously doesn't get too far.

Glad the reins are working out - little monkeys aren't they . X
