My LO is nearly 8 months old, she is having 3 meals a day and continues to breast feed on demand. At what point should I introduce snacks? Or should I even introduce snacks? For the past two days we have been sharing tangerines or melon together in the afternoon, but only because I fancied them and she watched and 'demanded' that we share.
When did you start with snacks? and what do you give? Do we actually need to give snacks or should 3 meals and mik be enough?

I started introducing snacks from 6 months, one mid morning and mid afternoon. Its not huge, sometimes it's bread sticks, rice cakes, fruit, veg sticks, blanched veg, cheese or baby crisps.

I can't remember when we introduced snacks................. not sure my memory will ever be the same again! But I tend to give DD snacks if she becomes a bit grouchy and it is 30 mins or more until meal time - like Harjeet it will be bread sticks, rice cakes, fruit etc. Also quite often she is just aftter a drink of water if I have forgotten to leave her cup out!
