my little one is showing signs like grabbing things putting them in her mouth and instead of sucking she is chewing on things She is only 3mth at the moment but I was thinking of weaning her at 4mth as she just seems to be interested in the look of our food ... I have so many people telling me to wait and then others saying go for it I don't want to do the wrong thing :/ .....

Hi, information has changed so much over the years - our oldest is almost 18 and back then it was 4 months or 14 lb whichever came first, now it's 6 months ...... I personally would be guided by your baby, let them let you know when it's a good time to try new things (within reason obviously!)
But beginning with baby rice or rusk is usually a good start - my third son was on regular rusk at a little over 3 months as milk just wouldn't fill him up and he is nine yrs now and still a hungry little man!

i believe that babies show when they are ready for food, with my first i gave her a rusk as soon as she learnt to grab things and she loved them, she was always a super hungery baby so i started her on fully blended food at 4 months i had previously used baby rice but i dont class that as proper weaning as its still the milk but yea she was having 1 bit of food a day at 4 months, this time ive not seen any signs yet but lyra is only 2 months so still young..
i think as a mother you kind of get a feeling that they need something more and i would say go with that feeling i mean as long as its fully smooth no lumps it will be fine plus try baby once if they not ready they will let you know (by being sick on you most likely)

Wean when you are both ready. My eldest two are 7 & 5 were weaned at 4 months because that was when they indicated they wanted to explore food. My little boy is 9 weeks he is massive for his age over 13lbs he loves his milk but hasn't shown signs of wanting anything other than milk yet apart from being a hungry boy...will be introducing finger food when he is ready.

Only you will own when you're little one is ready. There are posts with signs and symptoms that you can look for.
