I am looking forward to seeing this too. I wonder how long it will take before it becomes popular.

I've just stumbled across this site - it seems to be trying to be the new Netmums - I think it has alot to do to get anywhere close to their standard.

Isn't netmums trying to be like mumsnet?
Are you a netmummer then?

I think to be fair all mum's & mum's to be sites have aspects that make them similar but if you look deeper into each site you'll see they are different is so many other aspects (Like the MFM neighbourhoods are more focused on reviews of local events/classes & keeping groups/classes upto date).
I love the new MFM neighbourhoods not only for the neighbourhoods but i have been a member of MFM & Thinkbaby since January 08 and have found this the most welcoming and friendly baby site of them all.

Agree with you there Paula!
There's loads of room for 'everyone' (MFM, Netmums, Mumsnet, etc) - it's like brands of cars - you got your Suzukis, your BMWs, Fords, etc, etc; people have their favourites to get them from A to B!

Ditto, I agree!
I have been a member since Harry was probably six months or so old he is now 3.5 - and I visited a few sites before finding this one looking for advice from mums, and I found the mums here very welcoming and friendly, you usually get a response to your post.
I like the new neighbourhood site - it is a bit more personal and like you say focuses on something different.

I've been a mamber for a few years - only lurked...
but I can't get away with that now Im a Community Manager lol!
I've gleened loads of good advice from the forums and the articles (how to deal with tantrums no less!) and have never had a bad experience on here, some sites threads can turn bitchy which is awful - especially when someone is looking for genuine advice
Tbh I'm loving being a CM it's lots of work but I'm proud of my neighbourhood (Sunderland) and all you/the CMs are dead canny!

LOL, for my main job we have an office in the north east so some of your terms, like canny, byrnes and oh a few others slipped my mind. (not sure if thats how you spell it). My step dad is also from the NE
(Durham)
Actually I will see if Rachel ( my step dads niece who has a daughter about 7) can get on your site and review some stuff for you but not sure you will cover the area she lives in.
Have a good day everyone!
