Today, Dorel (the parent company of Maxi-Cosi) has issued a voluntary recall of the FamilyFix base.
It's important that you stop using the base and call Maxi-Cosi Customer Care on 01842 763 281. They will then be able to tell you where you can go to have your FamilyFix base checked, and give you the thumbs up to keep using it if it's perfectly safe.
