Did anyone see this in the news? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/10251349.stm

The twin babies were fast asleep when a fox got into their room and attacked them - no provocation or anything! So scary, we have foxes in our back garden all the time (i live in north london) and i always think they looks beautiful!

i guess looks can be deceiving!

Poor children. It must have been so frightening for them. It's something you'd never expect with city living. I used to tlive in the country & foxes would come in the garden when you were outside but they would always keep their distance. Hopefully the children will make a full recovery soon.

I heard about this,it really is unbelievable-you just can't imagine how terrifying that must have been for the girls, and the parents for that matter.

Thankfully there aren't that many foxes around our area, but where we used to live, there were a few, they are so street savvy and no way afraid of human contact, they used to try and get to my rabbits every other night, even though we had a dog that would give chase! I read somewhere that foxes don't come near if you have a dog, this isn't true!!!! My dog was huge, the foxes weren't bothered in the least by him!!!!

They are beautiful to watch, but not that close! Hope the girls recover quickly.

That's scary. We have our door open all the time in the summer, right until it's dark sometimes. You just wouldn't think it would happen.

When foxes attack chickens, thy often kill the whole coop and not just the one they want to eat,so they're obviously capable of doing serious harm to a baby. Maybe time for some sort of humane cull before the vigilante types get ideas in their heads.

About a thousand children a year are hurt by dogs, but no one asks for a cull of pet dogs.  The fox incident is very strange indeed and I wonder if its been correctly reported.  A fox cull would be an excessive over reaction.  And for the record foxes only kill for food.  Any chickens they kill but do not take, they intend to collect later.  The thing about killing for the sake of it is untrue, a myth.  Only humans kill for entertainment.
